You can download and twiddle anything you can screenshot. There is no way to garner "consent". Was Xitter a dumpster fire already and is this feature going to make it burn faster, well yes of course. There is a difference between downloading and manually making changes vs having a built in tool do it on demand with no real time or monetary cost.
