To disable it (for now):

  1. at the top left tap the 3 horizontal lines,
  2. near the bottom tap "Settings",
  3. tap your account,
  4. scroll to the middle and unselect "Smart features".
  5. Consider moving over to a non-psychotic, non-fascist-supporting email provider, like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuta_(email)

Tuta doesn't do email encryption for non Tuta users. Proton is the best choice

Nothing new here. Scanning and analyzing all your mails is the origin story behind Gmail. Dating back 20 years now.

They are gonna get their training data from you, by any means necessary.

It’s fucking rape like the way companies are forcing Ai onto their customers.

Is there anybody who has a way to handle transferring from Gmail to anything else without losing 20 years+ worth of mail and content? Also to make sure that the people who contact me through Gmail get transferred to the new location?

This. You’ll need to turn on imap support in your Gmail account settings. But once you’ve done that it’s pretty easy.

Move to Mxroute or protonmail.
Protonmail has Gmail importer I think

When I switch from Gmail to iCloud I was able to download all my messages to my iCloud mailbox using IMAP IIRC (its been a few years)
