Another redcoat slipping into a blue sweater.
Golly, I remember a time when she was flinging poo at a democrat president giving a speech.
So... is putin still writing her lines?
They’re not putting on blue. And they talk a good game but they’ll vote R over D every time.
yay. more new democrats.
IMO she is a MAGA true believer. And Trump and the GOP keep doing things that do not MAGA. She is still terrible just realising that Trump isn't actually about MAGA.
Maybe her and Tucker can form a new party and split the conservative vote and send all of them into the wilderness for decades.
They are all so fucking crazy. It's not at all surprising they have a difference of opinion over doctrinal issues. First of all, most of the shit the cons say they care about, they do not really care about: small government, freedom, liberty, the Constitution, non-interventionism, free markets, etc...what really motivates much of the conservative "movement" is about racism.
So when someone like Donvict steps out of line on something like tariffs and attacking Iran, it's not surprising some peel off, while others stay, because as long as the important kernel of conservatism is there - which is the racism (xtian nationalism) - many will stay. But Tucker and MTG also have the important kernel of xtian nationalism, too....so what is a conservative to do, LOL?
Given their RWA (right wing authoritarian) character flaws, most RWAs will tend to line up behind someone deemed to be a "strong leader", so that's the dangerous thing.
But if there are two prominent right wing conservative parties (The Republican Party, and The Teabagger 2.0 Party under Tucker and Marge) with two cult of personalities leading them, hopefully they'd split all the RWAs for a while.
She still touts ivermectin as a treatment for various ailments, so let's not get too carried away with the idea that she has seen the light.
So much this. Her and Tucker are still wildly dangerous in their beliefs. Just because they cannot get along with Donvict and the way the conservatives have tied themselves so closely to the terrorism of Israel's doesn't mean they are not very, very bad for this country.
No shit dumbfucks... every sane person in the world has been saying this since probably around the Reagan administration... and the warning ALL THIS BULLSHIT WOULD HAPPEN after the pedophiles first disaster...
You broke it, you fix it.
And they're still just looking to blame trump, not the party. Pretending that he changed the party. Not that he changed for the party. Which makes this even more of an insulting stand to take now
Yes, this. The Republicans created Faux News and hate radio and the various websites spinning the same hate, and then along came Donvict, about 20 years later after the start of Faux News, and he is the almost literal manifestation of all that work.
He sounds exactly like Faux News. He rules like the average Faux News viewer would want a President to rule. Hell, he has put people from Faux News on his cabinet.
But when Republicans and conservatives (current, as well as former) want to pretend as if Donvict came along and ruined everything and changed the party and they had no idea how any of this happened, and Donvict is No True Conservative?
BULL FUCKING SHIT.
Faux News == Republican Party == conservative == Trump.
And let's be real, they 100% still believe in the type of ideology that created the whole fucking problem in the first place.
They're probably positioning themselves to jump on the next iteration of MAGA once this one has run its course.
The people behind it, they never change and they won't go away, this is a disease that won't be cured with rest and lemon tea.
It's just like the end of W's presidency when everyone on the right was pissed off about what he did in Iraq and to the economy, then they proceeded to double-down on the nationalism, racism, and religious intolerance that made the GOP so popular with reactionaries.
It's a fundamental problem with their ideology, but they are so driven by their hatred and tuned up by the far-right media that they just keep digging that hole deeper. Ultimately, the ultra-wealthy know that fueling the fire of fascist rhetoric is a sure fire way of getting the brainwashed rubes to fight their class war for them.
Is MTG going to stop promoting the Great Replacement conspiracy theory? Absolutely not; in fact, I bet she leans even harder into it.
It’s just like the end of W’s presidency when everyone on the right was pissed off about what he did in Iraq and to the economy, then they proceeded to double-down on the nationalism, racism, and religious intolerance that made the GOP so popular with reactionaries.
Yep. They may have scraped those W stickers off their cars, but then joined up with the teabagger movement, and then a little bit later the birther movement, and then shortly after that, they went BALLS DEEP on Donvict, and were/are ecstatic about it.
These were all the same people in my life, not a new set of voters that left the party and never came back - all of them were dejected at the end of W's failed terms. All of them are now Donvict fans. I watched many go through that exact cycle, in my personal life.
My favorite thing from them, though? When they blame their worst behaviors on Obama. They don't realize how much they are telling on themselves. Yes, WE KNOW that them becoming even more overtly worse than before is of course a reaction to the black guy being in office.
In their minds, every problem is caused by someone else, and they are never to blame, even if they wholeheartedly support those causing the problems, pass legislation to enable those to blame, and are integrally involved in causing the harm for which they later complain. It is cultural narcissism on a grand scale.
Like with so much of the American reactionary right, the MTG line is forever "They weren't conservative enough".
And Dems will go chasing the MTG vote to the tune of a billion dollars in ad buys during the next election cycle, while whining that leftists never vote for them.
She helped create the problem, she can fuck herself.
Nah I'm all for the converts. They're very useful in persuading others. It's a wasted opportunity to just burn them and in essence tell anyone that they will be punished for changing their minds.
Yeah, I'm for converts, but not MTG. You don't get to come back from "Jewish space lasers started the forest fires". Every day people, sure. But she was an instrumental part of putting the bitch in office a second time. She doesn't get a pass now that she's conveniently "reformed" after leaving her position of power.
Ohhhhhhhmygod, this is such a very important point that gets so lost on the terminally online crowd. The political opportunity of such a high profile member of a major party leaving said party is insane. You would have to be all the way outside your mind to not take the opportunity to poke the cracks forming in the two party system. MTG bad, yep, not disagreeing, but it would be just straight stupid to not pick this up as a way to get more conservatives to start questioning the republican party and in turn the two party system as a whole.
It would be stupid, a lot of people are . . .well maybe not fully stupid but deeply blinded by their emotions. Unfortunately politics has evolved into like religion2.0, infidels are to be slaughtered, and anyone who doubts anything whatsoever is to be crucified. I remember when it wasn't like this, when there wasn't this intense pressure about switching parties. Of course it always existed to some degree, but from what I've seen and what I know it's been ramping up the past decade or two.
We elected a black man and it broke the brain of every conservative in America. That's why it's seemed to ramp up over the last two decades.
Definitely part of it but I think it's deeper than that. Let me put on my paranoid hat real quick. A ramp up of division is useful to the rich and powerful, particularly if it turns into a culture war, which of course it has.
I agree. Splitting the GOP into Nazis and “I just want to fuck over brown people” is actually going to be great for them not being able to get a vote majority in our broken electoral system.
Also sometimes they switch completely, personally if someone wants to improve, if only a little I try to encourage it. If immediately they're met with hostility for improving then the only sensible direction for them to go is back. At the end of the day and as you pointed out in your comment, it's a numbers game. You can try to divide and conquer and also recruit. Defectors / converts are extremely useful at convincing more to convert which definitely won't happen if at the front door we're telling them to fuck off and suck a bag of dicks. So if people go against their poor judgements I'm all for it, one step closer to waking up, switching sides and adding to the numbers.
But she’s not a convert. She continued voting with her party, but is leaving office. Her actions and rebranding are in order to transition to the talk show circuit. If offered the more money elsewhere, she will become a malignant force once again.
She’s an opportunist, not reformed. An opportunist with a microphone and a pension.
Why is this news? She’s not even a representative anymore
She still has a political following. It also shows the breaking of Republican solidarity on the right.
You broke it, you fix it.
How is it that the most extreme mouth piece changed their tune, but the middle chucklefucks didn't?
It's because Greene actually drank the kool-aid, and has now found out what's in it, whereas most of the others only pretend to like it.
I think those who dont truly believe but follow anyway are more vile than those who were duped
Well, there are also those who truly believe and like the Kool-Aid, the really committed white supremacists such as Stephen Miller and Elon Musk. They probably win the evilness contest.
They are the ones making the Kool aid
Yeah, but they are absolutely wasted on their own supply.
A big part of why the republican party has been so successful politically is their unwavering unconditional loyalty to the party. They can make waves politically with a smaller amount of people as long as they stay united. It's basically mostly just political strategy. It's also why this is a huge fucking deal. We can use this to start putting more pressure on the republican party and making that strategy less viable.
Some people think jumping ship in frigid waters will save them somehow, when there's no search and rescue looking for them... while other's are wise to just go down with the ship anyway... at least they feel like they're not alone.
they think they can still make money and gain power through their connection to him, maybe?
The Dems will choose her as their candidate before letting any of the Squad get close to power.
So, back to picking lice out of her fur and flinging feces at the other monkeys?
It's not either America first or last, it really is America alone.
Just watch the G7 pictures, it's very clear that nobody really want to talk to Trump.

Why would anybody talk to him? They're supposed to talk about global politics and he doesn't know a thing about it. Plus he smells.
His posture always motivates me to straighten my back. Half a step short of kyphosis
Kinda funny how this guy was a narcissistic scammer his entire life and people were like "I trust him".
Now watch in amazement as Schumer surely gears up to court the "disillusioned Carlsons and Greenes" of America, instead of focussing on the left base of the party. Maybe Kamala tries going on tour with Greene next.
