Went in and switched my default view off combined. Good luck! This sounds like a complicated issue, but I hope it actually turns out to be simple

The vice president also suggested if the Watergate scandal that led to the end of Nixon’s presidency happened tomorrow, “It would be like a 12-hour news story.”

He added, “The idea that it took down a presidency is crazy.”

The "for all the wrong reasons" bit in the headline confused me. It gave me the impression that people were talking about the wrong part of his speech, but I think its intended meaning was just that he was talking up Nixon and comparing him to Trump and himself in the first place. I guess my confusion got me to read the article, so it served its purpose?

edit: oh hey someone already made my point and was more succinct about it. It doesn't look like things are federating properly in my direction right now. whoops!

I think it's fine that she killed her abuser, even if it wasn't the exact moment a threat was made. In a way, I think it's good if the killing happens in kidnapping cases like this one when the kidnapper is vulnerable, because the victim is more likely to survive. Poison, stabbing while they're asleep, stealing the gun they used to threaten you and hitting them in the back - it's cool. You tell someone they can't leave or you'll kill them, you are allowed to live exclusively on the whim of the person you threatened. That's where my opinion gets a bit controversial, I think.

I started looking for cases where victims of rape were thrown in jail for killing their rapist as it was happening, and I immediately found several different incidents and got depressed.

Hope this explains why I think my view would be unpopular.

I think many dv situations (definitely not all) amount to kidnapping and you should legally be allowed to kill the person holding you against your will in order to escape.

Had a relative say he was going to take it as a treatment for his ADHD and he'd read some articles. This relative is all over the place with legit ideas mixed with ones I don't think have the scientific backing. I thought about looking it up like I usually would and just felt tired (there are so many fake sites and articles about medical stuff to sift through...). But someone here maybe already researched it or has actual background on the subject? For all I know, this is a completely well known and mundane treatment for it.
