I'd definitely be careful of catching a beatdown but I don't think you'll be 'disappeared'.

My dad bought a Vizio tv a few months ago. He called me to help him because you can't even use the thing as a basic tv without first creating a Vizio account. He doesn't own a computer and is mostly tech illiterate so I had to create the account for him and play tech support over the phone until he got in. I'd have taken it back to where I got it. I know not to buy Vizio TVs in the future though.

Bullshit. They should be treated like every other nonprofit. Churches should be paying taxes too.

That's what I use with Navidrome. It can be annoying at times but its Android Auto app is better than most, too.

There should be a badassness scale for decisions like these.

Thanks for this! Gonna try it out today!

Definitely fitting. Relevant just as much or more now as it was then.

Snitches. This shit will turn people against their neighbors. Everyone watching their back for the Gestapo.

My favorite live album.

I was frustrated earlier trying to figure out what to cook for dinner for a few picky eaters, so I typed:

chicken
no strawberry
no gravy
no olives
rice
noodles
spices
onion
garlic

into Goblin Tools. The recipe it came back with is delicious. I cooked it and got no complaints from anyone, which impressed me so I figured I'd share it. I added 1/2 teaspoon of garam masala to the spice mixture but other than that I cooked it exactly how it says to in the recipe.

The recipe (exactly as returned):

Dish Name: Spiced Chicken and Rice Pilaf

Serving Size: 4

Ingredients:

  • 500 g (1 lb) chicken, cut into pieces
  • 250 g (1 1/4 cups) rice
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 750 ml (3 cups) chicken broth or water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil

Instructions: Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute. Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned on all sides. Stir in the cumin, paprika, turmeric, salt, and pepper. Add the rice and stir to coat. Pour in the chicken broth or water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 20 minutes, until the rice is cooked and has absorbed the liquid. Fluff with a fork before serving. Enjoy your Spiced Chicken and Rice Pilaf!

I'm glad she's finally saying it out loud.

Is the plain white bread of meats.

Sorry for the crappy image. This is just to satisfy my own curiosity. I'm talking about the 'Stereo-mono' symbol. Does this mean it was recorded mono and converted to stereo? The album was released in 1974.

Found this salamander on my back patio in the pouring rain.
