A year or two ago, I was having a wee and was thinking about how women dry with TP and us men are just degenerates that shake it around. I jokingly thought about creating a "wankerchief" that guys could keep around and calling it a "Peter Patter".

It definitely made me giggle far too much. It's a disgusting premise to carry around a piss covered rag, but the names I thought were on point.

When I'm at home I always wipe after pissing. While I'd take a pass on the piss rag in my pocket idea, the name still could apply to men's underwear. After all, our underwear is soaking up that unwiped piss already.

That's not normal at 37. In fact, that's not normal at 60.

Da hilft kein Schütteln und kein Klopfen, in die Hose geht der letzte Tropfen.

(It doesn't help to shake and beat, into the pants goes the last drop)

[–] allidoislietomyself@lemmy.world 10 points 5 days ago

We have a similar one in America it goes "no matter how much you wiggle and dance you always end up with some on your pants'

[–] UncleArthur@lemmy.world 42 points 6 days ago (6 children)

I haven't used a urinal since 2001 for exactly this reason. Also, sitting to pee is the only way to go if one has an unfeasibly large prostate.

please, tell me what the piss incident of 2001 is I NEED TO KNOW!!

[–] expatriado@lemmy.world 27 points 6 days ago (3 children)

You can dry your wiener with a piece of toilet paper.

There's a variety of reasons.

Firstly you're in less of a rush, so when the stream becomes a dribble you just wait. If you're standing you're more inclined to get impatient and rush off.

Secondly, the stream is easy to control but the dribble is more likely to fall on the floor, so sitting avoids that.

Finally, pushing your gooch from our asshole to your nuts squeezes out the remainder. Its way easier to do this sitting.

Yes, I'm an old guy managing an enlarged prostate.

Everyone who wants to avoid urinary incontinence issues should do pelvic floor exercises. I don't see it spoken about for men as much as women (women are advised to do this during and after pregnancy especially), but everyone can benefit from it.

To identify the feeling of contracting your pelvic floor muscles, try stopping peeing when you're mid stream (though this is just to help you identify them — you shouldn't regularly practice this way, as it can lead to UTIs).

The way to practice is to squeeze your pelvic floor muscles, trying not to pull your tummy in (or to squeeze your glutes). Hold this for two seconds, then relax. Repeat 10 times. Doing this daily is advised, and over time, you can increase the amount of time you hold the squeeze for to up to 10 seconds. Try to breathe normally while you do this exercise.

In addition to being the best way to prevent urinary incontinence, it can also help with sexual performance too. You can practice basically any time. I often find myself practicing while I'm in traffic, because it's something to help fill the time.

Proof, as if it was needed, that we shouldn't be wearing pants. If it wasn't for "laws" and "public decency" I wouldn't.

Huh? I'm well near retirement and it's just pee until it stops, a few drops, that's it.

....since I was 28...

[–] obvs@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago

Sit to pee and press the tip with a paper towel.
