I’m partial to the joke in this episode:

I always think back to this one:
Leela: "that guy's turning this place into some sort of 'business'"
Professor: "this isn't a business, I've always thought of it more as a source of cheap labor ... like a family"
I don't know why I like it so much. I could see the punchline coming but how the exchange got there makes me smile every time.
It's the ol' "headache with pictures" quote that gets me.
lol, it's not just the quote that gets me with the "headache with pictures" ... it's Leela saying something like, "you mean an idea?"
and then Fry with the weird nod reply
Yup. The whole exchange is fantastic. I do the head-nod part with my partner a lot if I struggle to explain something and she gives me a better phrasing for it (and vice versa).
One of my favorites was from Bender: "Oh, but you can, but you might have to 'metaphorically' make a deal with the 'devil'. And by 'devil', I mean Robot Devil, and by 'metaphorically', I mean get your coat."
I've been quoting Farnsworth's "I don't want to live on this planet anymore" a lot lately.

I was living in Georgia when this aired, so it really hit home. My favorite episode by far.
I feel like Fry didn't try hard enough. There definitely still were options, avenues to explore. By running away he just outed himself for how vanilla he is in bed.
