I say if they're going to release dogshit movies, at least let people party in the theater

This drives me absolutely bonkers. It's one thing when several different authors think the universe is cool and want to create unique stories within it (e.g. the Star Wars EU), but it's entirely another when one approving board is seeking to maximize profits through a heavily templated story arc. It's disingenuous to storytelling and lacks more than a modicum of authenticity. It's why I struggle to watch any serial with more than three seasons. At a certain point as a viewer, you can tell when the story should naturally end and when the writers are told to drag it out.

Contrary to the article, I'm a sci fi enthusiast and I'm not excited. This looks like it has the quality of the Amazon LotR costume design. And I agree, I'm certain this book is not adaptable to the big screen

There used to be a small mom and pop shop near Ebisu in Tokyo that made my favorite okonomiyaki, but they closed during covid. I would go back and just appreciate the empty shop for what it was

Has to be. "Who the hell is Danny Boy?" And "You call that crying!?"

I knew as soon as they sent me instructions that I would refuse the job, but I figured it was good interview practice since I've only done 3 in 10 years

I did one a few months ago for a university. When I was done it asked for feedback, so I submitted some along the lines of, "I understand you may have numerous applicants, but this interview format does not align with the respect or attentiveness I expect from an employer."

Needless to say, no call back

Edit: a word

Well plastic is petroleum-based so

I can hear the professor in my head taking about, "Here's where I keep my various lengths of wire. And over there's the spaceship I built. Would you like to see my various lengths of wire?"

Edit: I think you're right, it might be "assorted"

A little heavy-handed, but at least they're being honest
