I've joined company's training session on AI on Teams and scrolling Lemmy now. 🤫

The speaker said, 'I use chatgpt everyday. If I want to cross check anything, I ask it to chatgpt'. Fucking cringe bro.

Every time I criticise LLMs to a friend he says "ChatGPT is great, it made a whole website for my brother's business and it improved my CV"

The website? Shit. The CV? Barely legible.

You prompted wrong! (is what I mainly hear)

Yeah… but what does ChatGPT think of his resume? Because you know that’s who’s reviewing it first. By the time an actual HR human (if you can even call them that) reviews it, you’re probably already sitting in front of them.

Jokes on you AI reviewed the CV for HR and they just invite the recommendations.

Well we still work together so clearly not great...

HR’s working hard on recruiting someone from really far away to replace him. See if you hire an Australian everyone assumes you looked everywhere else and therefore they must be the best possible candidate ;-)

My (Australian) shop manager placed in the Baja years ago, on a bike, with a broken ankle, by tying his (broken) leg to the clutch with his own belt… so yeah. I just kinda assume back home he’s one of those bikers from Mad Max 😎

improved my CV

Barely legible.

Well, did it or did it not get him a job?
