Word doc posters existed and were perfectly acceptable ways to advertise something for decades, I don't think suddenly over 18 months people are now incapable of parsing them.

besides that, the print shop software has been around since 1984. yea, it still exists! print master and print artist, too (from 1985 and 1992, respectively).
