Yeah, AI is/will be a master manipulator, it has infinite patience, it can easily introduce slight biases into it's responses and way too many people trust it either out of apathy or stupidity.
This means that it can slowly but surely push whatever agenda it's masters want.
People won't notice at first, but their views will slowly change in an accelerated curve, in a similar way to how normal social media can radicalize people, so will AI, just less overtly.
I think it'll be even simpler than that: it will turn people lazy, dumb, uneducated, and willing to believe anything they see or hear.
And it won't take long: the current generation of kids cheating their way out of what's left of the education system will soon reach voting age.
What do you mean "it will turn"? We're there already, that's how we got here in the first place, we don't need AI for that.
