I thought phytoestrogens didn't affect humans?

"Probably" is doing some heavy lifting there. My mother regretted having me, and was never shy about it. She's the one that decided against the abortion, but somehow I was the one that ruined her life by showing up. My entire life, I've felt like I should kill myself and finally make my mother happy.

I have a brain tumor, and people seem to think its not a Real Neurodivergence® like ADHD, because I can just get a surgery and fix it. Spoiler, they can't just fix it, its too deep to get to.

Gauche. It's one of those words that spell check forgets about.

Honestly, Seattle really is full of holier-than-thou assholes who want to think they're farther left than they are.

I've run into a wide variety, starting at the "I'm a leftist, but ecofascism is kinda cool" kind, to "I know you're homeless, but you're white, so that makes you more privileged than me, a POC landlord", and running all the way up to "Eugenics is okay, but I have a karl marx shirt and think I'm one of the vanguard" types.

It absolutely turned into crabs in a bucket when I got a job in palliative care for developmentally disabled elders, and it's part of why I burnt out so bad and tried to kill myself.

I've been wanting to make a 1:220 scale megacity diorama and don't know what options I have. I'm projecting I'll need to control the speed of two motors, some LEDs, and maybe a dozen or so tiny screens as digital billboards. It's the screens I'm worried most about.

I'd like to scavenge digital displays from e-waste, group them by type/resolution, and have a slideshow for each group that rotates throughout the city.

My initial idea was to use digital photo frames, but they're too big, and used ones are still too expensive for the quantity I need.

I'm assuming I will need multiple controllers(/processors?), but I don't know enough terminology to find what I need. I'm still thinking out the diorama, so if it's too hard/expensive I can just do backlit decals, but that's boring.

I was talking to a friend and complaining that the nearest grocery store is 3km from me, he says that Europeans consider that a reasonable distance to the store and I'm just being lazy.

I don't have a car, I don't have a bike, and the bus only comes by every four hours. Am I being unreasonable for not wanting to carry groceries 3km in 30C weather, or is my friend full of shit? Neither of us have been to Europe.

During the pandemic I started taking photos of the snails in my yard, and now I'm making the jump to Pixelfed. I think this is my favorite shot so far.
