I think $800m may be enough to place it as the biggest scam in gaming industry history.

The problem is that a live service game has to be a "complete" game, even at launch; ie. playing any one "season" on its own should be a satisfactory experience for a player. Star Citizen is nowhere near being a completed product.

That method isn't without its own flaws.

The wording in the article is a bit ambiguous, but does this also mean the Pro controller won't have Hall-effect sticks, as well?

You could look into getting some cable channels as a pretty cheap and easy solution. They're just plastic half-tubes that you can bundle the cables into and stick to the wall, so you could just have one pipe that runs up the wall to the back of the TV. You can paint them to match the wall and hide it a bit, too.

Markwayne will never beat the joke his parents pulled by giving him that name.

I think we still rank pretty far behind even Lemmy Koopa in the search results.

I really liked that generation, and would go so far as to call it my favorite; but that could just be me looking at it through nostalgia-goggles, because that was the first gen I actually owned and got to play from start to finish, myself.

I think you've got a couple generations or so left before it starts to really nosedive in quality. Sun/Moon was the breaking point, for me.

And I thought they were supposed to be shying away from fossil fuels.

I often make late-night walks down the street to the convenience store. Due to my work/sleep schedule, I can pretty much only do this late at night.

Unfortunately, this seems to be the same time that the local skunks begin prowling around the undeveloped lot between my home and the convenience store. Luckily, they've not yet gotten close enough to be a threat, but I always worry that one night I won't be so lucky, and I'll accidentally sneak up on one and spook it into spraying me.

I've looked online, and most of the articles I can find on the subject are about how to keep skunks from occupying your property in the first place. Which is great, but I don't own the property they're hanging out in, so I can't do much about that. I couldn't find many articles about skunk encounters that offer much advise beyond "stay away, dummy". Which I obviously plan to do, but life doesn't always go according to plan.

I live in the city, so it's actually kinda weird that there are skunks this close to a populated area. The city life has prevented me from having a lot of experiences with skunks, and honestly I want to keep it that way. But does anybody have any advice on how to help ensure that skunks stay away while walking?

Why YSK: Some car manufacturers, such as Tesla, will lie about the capabilities of their autonomous vehicles. Misplaced trust in self-driving technology leads drivers into making unsafe decisions while on the road, endangering the lives of themselves and drivers around them. Understanding what your car is capable of, in comparison to what the salesman told you it was capable of, is important to keep in mind when purchasing or operating such a product.

Currently, no Tesla product - including the inappropriately-named "Full Self Driving" mode - has surpassed Level 2 autonomy, falling behind competitors such as Waymo, NAVYA, and Volvo, who all have Level 4 cars in production.

Sorry that it's a YT Short; this format seems to work well for Steve, so many of his uploads are Shorts.

Seriously, what happened to the idea of decades? We’re already halfway through the "20s," yet for the past twenty years, the cultural conversation has been dominated by "generations" instead. Here’s why that shift isn’t doing anyone any favors.

Adam Conover talks about time, culture, and linguistics. I'm not sure about the accuracy of some of the things he talks about, and he admits that he's largely speculating on some topics. I felt it was something interesting to think about.

Wasn't expecting to see Ozzy drop a music video in 2025, but here we are.

I just received my aluminum model Exo-M in the mail today, and I absolutely love this knife, but it's so damn loud! I feel the urge to fidget with it, but I worry that I'm annoying my neighbors. It's so loud and piercing, it sounds like a Garand ping every time I open a package.

Does anyone have advice for noise reduction on knives? I thought about maybe putting a thin layer of epoxy or silicone or something along the ends of the frame that make contact with the blade, but I feel like the tolerances are so tight that any amount of material being present could possibly interfere with opening/closing the knife, so I don't want to risk something like that just yet. I suspect that any kind of coating I could apply would also just peel off almost immediately, anyway.

Any ideas? Or should I just learn to live with it?

I've got a clogged sink, and have been reading the labels on a bunch of different products lately. I'd always assumed that they were a strong acid of sorts, which would dissolve whatever sort of material was built up in the pipes. But I've noticed that a lot of these products specify that they're non-corrosive, so I'm not sure what other sort of mechanism may be at play here.

I got tired of there not being a place to geek out over one of the best FPS games I've played in ages, so I decided to be the change I wish to yada yada, so I made one.

The Finals is a free, competitive FPS game made by Embark Studios - a dev team formed by a bunch of old developers from the Battlefield series. All classes, weapons, abilities, and game modes are completely free and can only be unlocked through game progression; the only things you can spend money on are cosmetics, though the game also gives you a ton of free cosmetic items through various events, account progression, and the free season pass tier. It's available on Steam, GeForce Now, Xbox S|X, PS5, and will be available on PS4 later this year.

It's a super fun, super flashy, and super addicting game. If you haven't already tried it: give it a shot, it's free! So it'll cost you nothing but your time. Heck, if you have a GFN account, you don't even have to download anything, you can literally be playing right now. And if you like it, come hang out and share some clips! I'll be trying to populate the community with content as I can. I'm not being paid to glaze the game like this, I just really enjoy it and want to share it with everyone.

!THE_FINALS

I'm considering picking up a fixed blade, and usually don't wear a belt, so I'm looking for low-profile clips that would work along the waistband or pocket. From what I can see, UltiClip seems to be the highest-regarded in most areas, but I can't bring myself to wear Christian iconography, and the cross logo seems to be laser-cut out of the product so I don't think I could just Sharpie over it or something.

I usually don't like any visible logos on anything I wear, but I especially don't like religious ones. Maybe my reason for looking for an alternative is petty, but it's my reason. Was hoping to see what people's thoughts on other brands are!
