Damn what a throwback

[–] Ziglin@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

Before that recommendation I thought the problem was that it looked like a dishwasher tab and kids might get confused and think they're edible too.

Considering the history of Kellogg's, this is superbly funny.

I'm more concerned about how the flavor is blue... raspberry for some reason, I guess berry wasn't good enough.... aaand it's greenish?

[–] hate2bme@lemmy.world 34 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Blue raspberry has been a thing since I was a youngster, and I'm 42

[–] Mothra@mander.xyz 6 points 1 year ago

Not where I've lived, apologies for my ignorance

'Blue raspberry' is a distinct flavor, thats taste is kind of a mix between raspberry and blackberry/blueberry. It's a somewhat common flavor for blue candy in North America. Jolly Ranchers for example.

Raspberries are red, but so are strawberries and cherries, so I've heard they just needed to differentiate it from all the other red fruit so they made it blue raspberry.

Cute! Too bad it's one of those companies maximizing profit for the shareholders at the expense of health and, instead of healthy ingredients, it's cancer

funny the hugely negative response toward unusual colors! :)

i think the packaging and theme is cute. :)

don't look up blue waffle

[–] kittenzrulz123@lemmy.blahaj.zone 15 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I dont get it, is the dye cancerous? Why are people talking about "blue waffles" :3?

[–] normalexit@lemmy.world 23 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Is there some significance to the waffle being blue? I'm going to do some quick research and get to the bottom of this.

[–] toynbee@lemmy.world 10 points 1 year ago (1 children)

"Blue waffle" is apparently a Google search that will lead you somewhere awful. I don't know where; I saw a warning before anyone tried to trick me, so I've never searched it.

[–] user224@lemmy.sdf.org 10 points 1 year ago (1 children)

At this point the image is near-impossible to find.

Just yet another gore image.

[–] toynbee@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Well, the first part is good ... Unless it's bait.

[–] TheSaus@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It’s just pictures of waffles photoshopped blue, and some random stuff about whatever the “blue waffle std” is.

[–] toynbee@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

Every response in this thread is more suspicious. I'm not doing the search.

[–] challengerzinnia@lemmy.blahaj.zone 12 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Please tell me this is a joke

[–] HonoraryMancunian@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Please tell me it's not

ah, back in the day where if you clicked the wrong link, you didn't get to see rick astley's video, you just got scarred for life.

And then all that shit went away, and now look at the fucking internet.

EDIT : I don't like my character's name being called "Harriet Tubman" can't it be "Tubgirl"?

[–] callyral@pawb.social 11 points 1 year ago

"Blue waffle" on UrbanDictionary for anyone wanting a description. I'm glad I didn't google it.

[–] Sorse@discuss.tchncs.de 8 points 1 year ago (1 children)

LPT: if you don’t know w*at something is, always go to the dictionary first, only after that you can google it
