There's a lot to be hopeful for.
This year was a very bad Senate map for Dems, 2028's map is very good for dems. We've got a very real possibility of having all three branches of government with a filibuster proof majority in the Senate.
Dems don’t want a filibuster proof majority they would figure out a way to make it just one vote shy. But they prefer to actually be one vote shy or we would be inclined that when they do nothing it is by their own choice.
They can always blame the parliamentarian

There was a lot of hopium going on weeks before the mid terms. All the "Don't trust the polls" or "They're going to rig the election" or "Watch all this be for nothing" as well, and look how well that turned out.
Trump has ran up the Deficit by $25 Trillion dollars in the six years he's been in office on this wasteful shit. He should pay it back.
Everything he owns should be repossessed and auctioned off to cover the costs of restoration for the things he's wrecked.
And his kids. And anyone he has done "business" with. And his cabinet and advisors and their kids and anyone they have done "business"with. And any person or company that has done well during his term.
Yay! Literally yay! Imprison them all. Every single one.
And before anyone says "what about the--" the answer is yes, arrest and imprison in accordance with the law, regardless of party affiliation
We have to take out the people at the top for the illegal orders, but I do actually think it's just as important to take out the people at the bottom who followed them.
Make following illegal orders a liability and we'll have another layer of protection from this bullshit.
And don't forget to disband ICE. Preferably roll back all valid functions of DHS to other government departments and close down that too. It was never necessary or even beneficial.
DHS has always been a fascist overreach disband the agency and return the agencies currently under DHS and put them back where they belong, coast guard back to the military, secret service back to Treasury dept and so on
Maybe put them back on the borders checking bags for smuggled cheese. The primary duty they were trained for. How they went from that to secret police is wild.

Cut off the escape routes, then start cleaning up:
- lock out pension / retirement benefits for individuals under investigation
- decimate the DHS/ICE budget
- daylight everything
The litmus test: if they're not running scared, the good guys aren't working hard enough.

That shitheel Vought said that civil servants should feel traumatized by Project 2025.
We want the bureaucrats to be traumatically affected. When they wake up in the morning, we want them to not want to go to work because they are increasingly viewed as the villains. We want their funding to be shut down so that the EPA can't do all of the rules against our energy industry because they have no bandwidth financially to do so. We want to put them in trauma.
Not only does HE need to feel traumatized, but assholes within organizations like ICE need to feel traumatized.
Treating civil servants like that little creep did should be something that we need to come down like a ton of bricks on.
