The filibuster blocks a specific law, appointment, etc

The cover is actually making a someone poignant claim - that these folks are committing political suicide. That’s my interpretation at least.

But I don’t think they are. They’ll be forgiven/forgotten. Then they can go on with their lives.

It’s technically not a filibuster. It’s a marathon protest speech.

The 12th amendment prohibits anyone disqualified from running for POTUS from being VP. It’s quite clear.
