Fox news will talk about how he is implementing the turkish shariah if you do that.
It's Istanbul, not Catstantinople
On Tuesday, Zohran Mamdani . . . posted a video on X of himself putting a sheet of paper with the phrase “RED TAPE” into a paper shredder. Other pieces of paper, with phrases like “cumbersome fees and fines” and “a permit you need just to serve ice-cream”, were shredded too. The video, set to Wu Tang Clan’s If Time Is Money
Damn. Okay.
But this hurts big business, Wall Street and shareholders!
/S
I wish more things would hurt big business.
Big business needs to be dragged out into the street and beaten to death with 2x4s, to make room for little guys and little businesses to pop up and serve their local areas, that they live in, and are connected too, instead of some soulless corporate fuckshit that has all the decision making a thousand miles away in a festing cespit (delaware) that has nothing but other HQs and decision makers around them.
100% And it's almost always a corpo fuckwit that constantly needs financial help everytime they build, hire, tank the business, and political help with ad-hoc rules and laws. Losers, they probably couldn't compete with the little guy in a fair fight. Sorry for the rant
Won’t someone please think of the poor corporations and the shareholders! Wall Street is crying.
B-b-b-but "lEfTiStS ArE BaD FoR BuSiNeSs", they said!
rEpUbLiCaNs ArE gReAt FoR sMaLl BuSiNeSsEs!1!1
Says the same people
I should ask the local pizza shop owner about this. He was pretty anti zohran. He said it's because he grew up in a post Soviet country, and believed socialism would turn into poverty for all.
Propaganda is powerful.
Especially on those who cannot think critically. At all.
Well, nobody is immune to propaganda. Not you, not me.
I always try to view a subject as if I were an uninvolved third party, look for objective facts, and because of it I'm always getting into fights with excited revolutionaries who don't care if post is true or not before using it as support to reinforce their worldview.
They always confuse socialism with harsh authoritarian dictatorships, no doubt reinforced by right wing rhetoric. It’s ironic that people flee these crushing governments only to come to the US and vote for right wing authoritarian fascism. Just proves they haven’t a clue about socialist policy and the ability to differentiate between that and horrible leaders.
I was going to add that it's also reinforced by modern day communist dictatorships but then I remembered those are also right wing.
reminder for the billionth time that east germans vote afd
We see something similar with Cuban immigrants to the US.
LOL
A democratic socialist doing something the conservatives scream they are all about, deregulation specifically in support of small business.
Conservatives must be going apeshit in their confusion.

This is in the top 10 gif of the decade hands down.
You can see him realizing it real time in his facial expression, it's great
Its so wonderfully appropriate in so many cases!
They would if they could read
Unironically this.
I never thought NYC would fall to communism like this smh
Lmao
I thought we elected a communist? Why are the petite bourgeoisie cheering? 👺 /hj
What does /hj stand for? Handjob?
If you gotta ask, you can't afford it
I can afford it, I just want to know what I'm getting.
Half joking, in this case at least.
I think I prefer the hand job
It is being given by a sad comedian.
I vote that that is what it stands for now too
I'm willing to compromise and get a hand job from a serious clown.
I want one too! Is there a line?
It's more of a circle than a line
Probably the only time this phrase will be uttered.
Grocery store owners and barber shops? Independent restaurants? Wtf are you talking about? These businesses barely stay afloat in NYC. Same class but they sign a few paychecks. Save the half disdain for their vendors and giant competitors squeezing them out and killing fair competition in the market.
I mean, small businesses are petite bourgeoisie. That's just the definition of the term. That doesn't mean they are an enemy of socialism and I don't think that's what the person you're replying to was saying. Of course it would be ideal for small businesses to adopt a cooperative structure but it would be foolish to suddenly try and push that on existing small business owners. In the meantime it's good to change policy to favor small business over corporations because it distributes wealth more evenly, enables greater social mobility, and fosters community.
And I'm saying the 99% has been so compressed, those small business owners live like proletariat.
In fact they are specifically called out in marxist theory as a "swing" class that can go either way as they their some attributes with workers and some with capitalists.
whooosh.
When the communist dictatorship hits just right.
So sad to see this communism. Ney York freedom basically dead.
