"In a rapidly changing world, Canada must become the source of our own affordable, clean, reliable power because when we master energy, we master our destiny," Carney said.

Maybe he could try announcing some clean energy developments once in a while instead of a stream of fossil fuel announcements.

This is the BC govt, not the feds, right?

Am I reading it wrong?

You are right, that's my mistake when I read that article I thought Mr. Dix was Canada's Energy Minister not BC's. Replaced with a different one.

I guess this is why he cheered the attack on Iran then - figured it would be an excuse to spend billions on a pipeline that will take years to build. Also apparently he thinks we are complete fools

We are idiots and we deserve it

The country voted for him, and most still stand by their decision despite how obviously bad it was. People recently have fought me claiming he’s the only good option for the country.

He doesn’t think we’re fools, he knows we’re fools. Until we stop “strategic” voting this is what we will get.

Sound like we need a CANDU attitude.

While mindful of what he called the "existential challenge of climate change," Carney said abundance and affordability are also top of mind for

That's a very telling word to use.

Carney warned that if sustained opposition to more development in the province continues, Ottawa will have to focus on projects in other provinces.

"If things get stalled here, we're going to be spending more time elsewhere in the country," Carney said.

Translation: Accept Alberta's pipeline or lose investment. Carney is bending over backwards to give Danielle Smith whatever she wants while levying threats against BC to make it happen. Is he trying to make the Cascadia movement into more than a joke?

He said Canada's renewed focus on energy development "has to go hand-in-hand with environmental protection,"

Unless that involves protecting orcas, I guess? Carney really likes to speak out of both sides of his mouth.

Elbows up, right buds? Who knew a Neolib would tell us to eat shit while feeding billions to corps to destroy the land and poison us? He'll really show that Trump guy buy doing the exact fucking thing the US state wants.
