Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Insulting people is his thing. My question is why anyone voted for this.

[–] Sunflier@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

My question is why anyone voted for this.

First: Hate is the opiate of the masses. Some people say its religion, but I'd say its hate actually. Religion is merely a syringe.

Second: Fear of the "other". Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, and all that

Third: They chanted "Jews will not replace us" in Charlottesville. We really suprised by how that mentality is turning out? They're seig heiling.

Fourth: Something . . . Something . . . Something . . . taxes.

Fifth: Billionaires want more control and domination.

He's showing a clear pattern of increasing loss of impulse control. Pretty sure that's high in the list of dementia symptoms.

Pretty sure that’s high in the list of dementia symptoms.

Wish it'd go faster.

[–] Adderbox76@lemmy.ca 42 points 2 days ago

What an absolutely repulsive human being. Beyond the crimes. Beyond the egotism and narcissism, he's just simply a repulsive, classless, amoral fuck-head.

He's the guy that, if he hadn't been born into wealth, would be Ken McElroy

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 254 points 3 days ago (6 children)

This guy, calling others "Piggie".

[–] tonytins@pawb.social 51 points 3 days ago

Always projection with him.

[–] gnomesaiyan@lemmy.world 19 points 2 days ago (1 children)

He looks like he's asking for a poopie change.

[–] aeternum@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 1 day ago

Aww dumpy made dumpies!

[–] Armpitbagette@lemmy.zip 12 points 2 days ago (1 children)

If those trousers were any higher they would be holding up his boobies

[–] LemmyKnowsBest@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

His whole body is one huge cancerous boob with no nipple.

[–] YiddishMcSquidish@lemmy.today 4 points 2 days ago

Totally not fair to boobs. They are responsible for sustaining life and are super neat. While this sack of shit is nothing but hate and spite.

[–] Whostosay@sh.itjust.works 21 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I like how you went through the trouble of find an unflattering pic as if there is a flattering pic

[–] LemmyKnowsBest@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

But you must admit, of all the unflattering photos of Schlump, this is one of them.

[–] Whostosay@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 day ago

Can't argue that

[–] FardyCakes@lemmy.world 179 points 2 days ago (2 children)

[–] Snowcano@startrek.website 18 points 2 days ago (2 children)

[–] FardyCakes@lemmy.world 16 points 2 days ago

Now the horse on the other hand...

[–] theneverfox@pawb.social 11 points 2 days ago

I refuse to believe it was not both of them until I see evidence of something even more damaging

When all you think of is hogs, everyone's a piggy

Projection. He's a fat ugly pig.

Or, maybe, that was his nickname when he suckled Bubba...

[–] kryptonianCodeMonkey@lemmy.world 35 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Proper response: "Who you calling 'piggy', fat ass?"

Got hogs on the mind lately, Trump? Call him. I know Bill is thinking of you, too. Dreams can't happen without the initiative to make them happen.

[–] xzot746@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 day ago

Or "You got it TACO"

[–] MeekerThanBeaker@lemmy.world 33 points 2 days ago (3 children)

I totally would've lost my job as a white house reporter. If he called me something like that, I would've proudly said Fuck You to the pResident of the United States.

[–] Tigeroovy@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 day ago

Pull a Roxy from Always Sunny and give him a “Shut up, baby dick!”

[–] aeternum@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 1 day ago

The reporter should have called him pindick or something. I hear he’s sensitive about that

[–] Sunflier@lemmy.world 10 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Would it have been something like "Fuck You, Mr. Asshole"?

[–] jordanlund@lemmy.world 149 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Journalists need to just keep hitting him with one question over and over:

"Who's 'Bubba'?"

[–] logicbomb@lemmy.world 50 points 2 days ago (1 children)

You can't see people's faces through a glory hole.

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 16 points 2 days ago (2 children)

He wouldn't recognize the horse's face anyway

Did you remember to maintain eye contact?

[–] Wytch@lemmy.zip 119 points 3 days ago (1 children)

The mask slips further, revealing the ugliest, most insecure misogynist to walk the earth.

[–] DoGeeseSeeGod@lemmy.blahaj.zone 108 points 2 days ago (1 children)
[–] Bristlecone@lemmy.world 35 points 2 days ago (3 children)

For real! I don't get it... Listening to him speak makes me wonder how anyone buys into his constant stream of horseshit and thinly veiled racism. It's disgusting and boring as shit to listen to.

[–] cmbabul@slrpnk.net 12 points 2 days ago

Do yourself a favor and don’t think too much about that unless you want to completely quash any remaining hope you had in humanity

[–] andros_rex@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago

Look at local news comment sections of Facebook.

People like that he’s a garbage human being. Everyone is like a twelve year old now, they like seeing the bully/strongman shit on people.

[–] jballs@sh.itjust.works 39 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Damn, even the flags go down at the White House.

I clicked on the article looking for video of it and hooooooooooly shit, what an ad ridden hellhole I was subjected to. It's unreadable. What an absolute shame of a website

[–] ramenshaman@lemmy.world 30 points 2 days ago (5 children)
[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 13 points 2 days ago

The most hilarious comment is on that video:

"I'm gonna drain the swamp"

Only now do we find out he nicknamed Clinton's balls "the swamp"

🤣
