This immediately makes me think this is a plot to make "anti-natalism" considered terrorism. Not a single person I know of who is against having kids is radical about it, but oh man are the pro birth weird Christians sure radical about it.

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.
Don’t want kids? Straight to jail.
Birth quotas incoming
Gay? Straight to jail.
This is very much my concern as well.
Having been to the antinatalist subreddit back when I still visited the other place, I can say there were deffo some weird folks in there and that as a matter of statistics I could see one or two being that far gone. This also applied to most of the other anti-thing places there though, ex. Two million subscribers to r/atheism, that's two "one in a million" whackjobs.
The childfree subreddit was pretty toxic, too. Calling people with kids mombies cause they think they're better than them. 🙄
Not producing more children when so many are abandoned and the planet is dying is morally superior to people who create extra lives in the same situation.
My wife and I have decided we don't want kids. We're telling them tonight. Badum-tish.
I saw a comment like this years ago. Its why I called it that the child free movement would create radical idiots like in the article. Radical idiots usually require an assumption of moral superiority.
Radical idiots who commit suicide?
I'm sorry but you get 0 hate from me when society makes you snap but you still care enough not to actually hurt others
Maybe get mad about mass shooters instead of who FOX tells you to?
Wut? Suicide doesn't exclude radical idiots, probably more inclusive.
I'm not saying being child free is a bad thing. The problem with the movement is it overlaps with the same group that co-opted the incel movement. Involuntary celibacy started as a support group that slowly morphed into a hate group. Child free has very similar vibes to early incel behavior imo.
There's no problem with the movement
The problem is with you and the propaganda you internalized.
Trying to link antinatalism and incels is some seriously pathetic mental gymnastics
Im one of the people that broke free of the propaganda you're assuming consumes me. Was raised on fox News and educated myself out of it.
There is no problem with the child free movement or whatever you want to call it. Its not you that is the problem.
The person who founded the incel movement is a trans women who is pissed it was co-opted. You are swallowing propaganda that child free is immune to this shit.
None of what you have said has shown you have broken free from that propaganda. Considering you're still pushing it.
I watched the community start 14 years ago when i was a part of it on reddit. Its falling apart, just like the incel movement.
The common theme between the two is hating women if you are wondering.
For clarity, I have 2 kids now. I've seen both sides of this world.
Or calling the kids crotchspawn and wombfruit. Like bruh I get it, y'all ain't having kids, fair play, but there's no need for the weird slur nonsense.
Tbf crotchspawn has been around for many years. Patton Oswald used it in a stand up about a decade ago.
I call my kids crotch goblins to other adults often. One of them is basically a goblin at this point so it's funny to me and my wife. People need to stop treating parenthood as sacred. Kids are adults in training and it's OK to joke about them a bit.
Please tell me the "goblin" is a Louise from Bob's burgers type.
So much worse unfortunately. More the type of i now understand why PURPLE is a thing. I don't really have a temper anymore, but i still had to just leave the room several times over the 2 years of continuous crying. This kid would've broken any experienced parent. It was bad enough that she broke our nanny and now daycare.
She is cute as shit though. Extremely stubborn and tough as nails. I may have Stockholm syndrome, but I like her now.
They are pretty funny, though.
I reckon that any group of two or more people that gravitate around an ideology is probably gonna have at least one weirdo in it.
One might be weirder then the other but that doesn't necessarily mean that they're a full on weirdo. I think a group has to get to 10-20 before we get someone close the edges on that bell curve.
Hasn’t Elon been complaining about anti-natalists being the worst people alive? Seems awfully convenient that all of the sudden there’d be something for that dipshit to point at as “proof” anti-natalists are evil.
He's wasnt anti natalist, he was angry he didn't give consent to be born. I think he called himself pro mortalist.
Anti natalist... I doubt they'd have to do something so overt to reduce humanities birth rate. This has false flag written all over it. And correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it the religious right that's anti fertility clinic?
And correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it the religious right that's anti fertility clinic?
No they're anti-abortion and anti-birth management, not anti-fertility. Religious nuts are hypocrites and what part of the Bible talks about IVF? Prolly none.
It might genuinely just be a bitter angry person. I don't even like to call it an ideology, they just complain they had no choice in whether they were brought to this world, ans and since the world sucks, they pretend like if somehow they could've chosen, they would've chosen not to even live, which makes no sense, as then they'd never have been a person with the capacity to think that. It's paradoxical, is my point.
I wouldn't be surprised that just general whackos like that do exist, but yeah, you're right, it wouldn't be out of line to false flag it to create even further infighting in the states.
To be honest it's probably not even much of a challenge for some Russian disinfo agents to convince someone to firebomb shit like that. When people are denied healthcare and housing and the streets are flooded with opioids and guns, it doesn't take much to find a person easy to manipulate.
So it might be both "real" and also politically puppeteered. That would make the most sense, honestly, but we need to remember that these sort of ultraviolent psychopaths aren't really... thinking straight.
We'd like to make it make sense, but acts of violence rarely do.
No, they're anti-IVF too. It stems from the fact that many embryos are fertilized but only a few are implanted. The rest are discarded. To the christofacists, this means they're 'killing children'.
Oh right yeah if you combine anti-abortion views like that with anti-science, yeah, I can definitely your point, yeah.
I'm not arguing your points. It just seems like the only group cutting funding and research for IVF is the conservative wing. Also, many religions nut jobs see women who need IVF as imperfect vessels, and men that need IVF as not men.
Well there's religious nuts who oppose damn near everything, so I'm not surprised.
I'm just pointing out that they're not traditionally against fertility treatments, although as some are anti-science (which is traditional for religious people), they are also coincidentally anti-IVF etc.
But like, their main point isn't being against increasing fertility, it's being against "unnatural science" or smth.
Did the suspect denounce Trump? If not, why is the FBI involved?
Did not have that one on my Crazy Shit 2025 bingo card
“Guy Edward Bartkus? Thats a devil name”
Dick Butkiss? You hear that coach, he's cursing!
With the cuntservatives pushing their antiabortion agenda, makes sense some people are going to believe the opposite.
So, a Redditor? Seems like some Reddit subculture bullshit.
Has the audio recording been released?
