If I were rich I'd buy one but I'm waiting for a good belt driven folder, possibly ebike, possibly not. Wish the Tern Vektron had a belt variant.

I rode one and was impressed at how well it rode for how tiny it seems, but for the price, they better be impressive!

Fair enough, they can be dangerous especially in some places.

Shit happens, and if you are riding anything with wheels, you should definitely be wearing a helmet. I wasn't doing anything extreme when I crashed, the bike (an ENGWE EP2 Pro) failed at about 20mph, sending me over the handle bars and to the hospital. Not much I could've done about it, the fender was faulty and poorly designed but no recall was issued.

$100 is worth protecting your skull IMO, but my last helmet was 3x that much (though it did save me from probable death).

That said, I wouldn't be upset if they came up with helmets that are cheap and just as effective.

Expensive, often ugly, and with no real payoff for actually enjoying riding my bike. I’ll stick to my heart rate monitor thank you.

I drive, but most of the time I ride a bike, skateboard, or walk because driving is mostly just more frustrating on average.

I have no personal experience with them yet (I still have a few newish lithium ones that are more than enough to keep my family's stuff charged for days) but https://kuxiu.co/products/kuxiu-s2-power-bank

If you search for them there might be other ones as well; I don't think the one I posted was even the one I was thinking of but I can't remember where I originally saw it

This is part of why I've been holding off on buying a new ebike: If they make something that has a solid stat battery and belt drive, I'm definitely going to pull the trigger, but for now I'm still riding a budget ebike and saving my money for when they finally come out with an ebike that DGAF about the cold.

Electric motorcycle options just grew a bit more with the launch of Trevor Motorcycles’ DTRe Vince, an all-out street-legal scrambler that comes straight from Belgium. From the looks of things, it might just be the ideal bike for city commuting and occasional trail riding.

They don't seem to fold up very easily too. For that money you can buy an electric Brompton.

You can now buy solid state travel batteries, so I think that one we will start seeing in bigger stuff in the not too distant future as long as there are no major disruptions.

I know many folks who dismissed Stark's initial announcement of the Varg, a 60-80 horsepower electric dirt bike intended to compete with conventional gas-powered motocross bikes, as just another ambitious EV project that would never reach the market.
