Welcome to the News community!

Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.

Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.

Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

6. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

Yeah, yum!

Better than 8 years of broccoli and prunes.

[–] shyguyblue@lemmy.world 16 points 2 years ago

Better than cold McDonald's...

[–] ape_arms@lemmy.world 29 points 2 years ago (4 children)

So obvious how the right keeps pushing the envelope to legitimize the current wackos. MTG was Loomer, just like Dick Cheney was MTG. One day MTG will be the "respectable" repub.

[–] casmael@lemm.ee 16 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Yeah man fuck all these weirdos

[–] nomous@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

dangerous weirdos

[–] frezik@midwest.social 14 points 2 years ago

MTG doesn't like that Loomer has Trump's direct ear. That's it. She picks fights with other republican women whenever she feels one of them is trying to be better than her.

[–] reddig33@lemmy.world 25 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Someone is jealous that another woman is getting Trump’s attention.

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 2 years ago

You mean Daddy Trump? You know that's what they want him to be to them.

I am indian, i don’t like my culture or my people because they are corrupt and not self critical and they (both castists and muslims) generalize others alot, but thank you anyone who speaks out for us.

I'm sorry but this made me laugh out loud.

Only the Sith deal in absolutes!

[–] Chozo@fedia.io 10 points 2 years ago

I guess he's not completely wrong, after all.

Glad I'm not the only one!

"There's only two things I hate in this world: people who are intolerant of other people's cultures, and the Dutch."

[–] NOT_RICK@lemmy.world 39 points 2 years ago

they (both castists and muslims) generalize others a lot

[–] SkaveRat@discuss.tchncs.de 5 points 2 years ago

Buuut your cuisine is fricking good. So India at least has that

[–] WaxedWookie@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

Corrupt and not self critical is a pretty accurate description of nearly any US politician - including MTG.

Speaking up was a rare win, but let's face it - she was probably just jealous Loomer was stealing her racist thunder.

I have a couple of good Indian friends and the stories they tell me about corruption are... absolutely wild. I mean, jaw dropping.

But, curious, what do you mean "not self critical"?

[–] Live_Let_Live@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Basically hyper nationalism has ruined us, and we never focus on our negatives (and there are alot of negatives)

[–] Illegalmexicant@lemmy.world 18 points 2 years ago (2 children)

She should one up her and say fried chicken curry....wait, is that a thing? Like chicken curry katsu? Now I'm hungry

[–] SeaJ@lemm.ee 8 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Dude. Make it happen. That sounds fucking delicious.

[–] DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social 6 points 2 years ago (1 children)

As a Southerner I can confirm that is a thing and as curry it is delicious.

[–] cheers_queers@lemm.ee 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

how does the breading not get soggy? this sounds really good

[–] DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social 5 points 2 years ago

You cook it separately.

[–] ravhall@discuss.online 1 points 2 years ago

Watermelon curry. Nom nom

[–] Akasazh@feddit.nl 9 points 2 years ago

Better than it smelling of Trump b.o. and farts

[–] jordanlund@lemmy.world 8 points 2 years ago

We'd be better off if more places smelled like curry. Mmm... Massaman Curry w/ garlic naan.

[–] otp@sh.itjust.works 8 points 2 years ago

Even if it would, which it won't, what would it matter? None of the looney tunes who care about this would ever come close to smelling the White House.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 8 points 2 years ago

Ol’ Perjury Traitor Greed is just jealous.

QAnon conspiracies dictating health policy is OK, but making incentives race jokes is too much. Got it!

[–] werefreeatlast@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

My office smells like beans some days and other days like pasta and other days like chocolate chip or even jalapenos. It depends on what smelly food I have for lunch.
