Is this an exclusively ADHD thing or does it apply to other neurological conditions as well? Coffee has absolutely no effect on me. I do have ASD, but that's not typically associated with the coffee thing.
Coffee knocks me out. Between the warmth and the actual ADHD relief, it is very hard to keep my eyes open.
Last time I did blow, it made me soooo hungry and sleepy. A few more bumps took care of the sleepy, but the first couple were roouuugh.
Yeah I’ve only done it once out of curiosity lol. 1st line did nothing so I tried another — same thing. Meanwhile I could see how elevated it made other people (was at a party). Eventually I got tired and fell asleep.
Fair hahaha. I like it well enough if I’m drinking. I thought I didn’t like it but the stuff I had in the past was absolute garbage. Now I have unlimited access to decently priced extremely pure stuff (I have purity tests and hooo boi does it check out) and doing a couple bumps definitely feels a way! It doesn’t make me get as gakked as my more neurotypical friends, but I like the numbness and dopamine.

Oh. I just figured they were all stimulants. And also I'm an anarchist so my concern for someone taking illegal drugs is independent of their legality.
Nicotine (not cigarettes) actually has neuroprotective effects. It's also been shown to have positive cognitive effects on people with schizophrenia.
I only have lucid dreams when sleeping on cocaine.
edit: i used to pinch myself to make sure i was dreaming. if the pinch didn't hurt I would have fun in my dreams
I did that with a slap in the face, but it did hurt in the dream. My way of finding out is reaching through a wall, works better for me
My tell is being able to continuously double jump and thus jankilly fly.
Imagine trying to party, and feeling perfectly normal, calm, and even tired, while everyone else is tripping balls.

At a music festival, actually able to listen to a complete song without my mind wandering... is this why people take stimulants?
We feel neurotypicalish with stims. But neuros feel wired, almost high, with them. We got the short stick in may ways, and the long stick in other, harder to find ways...
I didn't know that at the time, pre-diagnosis, but it's so obvious now.
Cocaine makes absolutely no sense to me. Are you having a good time, letting loose and getting relaxed with friends while enjoying a few beverages? Here, take this substance that will make you disturbingly sober. Everything is clear, level, and so very normal. Fun huh?
Making you sober is not the only thing it does.
Yeah it can also make you feel like a rail spike is being driven into your head...
Sometimes I fantasize about doing cocaine so I can finally get my doctors appointments all made.
The struggle is insanely real. If I take a nap now, no way will I sleep tonight.

Happened to me today. Took my methylphenidate, got yawny, took a little 1 hour nap which turned into 4 hours. It's 1 am now
Same thing with weed for me. I vape it and then I can actually sit down and finish a task, have a conversation without my mind wandering or go outside without anxiety. I do have the double whammy of AuDHD tho.

Euphoria is a very common start up side effect of adderall that should go away after a few weeks. It's like antidepressant startup sideeffects except this one happens to be pleasant. It could have just been that.
Lasted years it actually kinda messed me up a lil. Should have realized it was wrong and stopped but I liked it too much
Seriously though. The first time I took adderall I went and took the best nap of my life.
