This guy has no fucking clue
This is going to fucking wreck Canada’s oil economy, and his buddies are going to be shitting their pants right now because Trump is saying the US is going to just sell Venezuela’s oil to everyone.
Fuck you Pollievre, you fucking moron.
If the US actually succeeds (huge if, they control exactly 0.00% of Venezuela right now), this is will crash the Albertan economy into the earth's core. And Albertans will, somehow, blame the Liberals.
No wonder PP's celebrating, then. The CPC hasn't considered anything outside of Alberta and Saskatchewan to be "Canada" since they molted their Reform Party carapace.
Yup. The US needs heavy crude, that comes from Canada or Venezuela. Guess the US won’t need Canadian oil anymore.
It wouldn't surprise me if he used the new-found Venezuelan oil to try and shut Canada down.
2026 is looking to be a nasty fucking year.
Luckily, Alberta is only 15% of our GDP.
Yeah. :/
I just posted an article from Barron's that says that's pretty much what will happen.
Yeah, I saw your post. Too bad barrons is paywalled. I can't refute nor support your statement.
Sorry about that.
Barrons seems to have moved the article but MSN's scraper picked it up.

I haven't tried the Barron's article in question but this little site has gotten around every other news paywall at which I've thrown it:

Nobody is making any money from Venezuelan oil any time soon, their oil infrastructure is in shambles and it'll take 100 billion investment and 10 years to get it going. Investors balk at investing somewhere where their investment gets blown up on a daily basis, and their employees are murdered or kidnapped frequently.
