He is correct though. The dude (ladydude?) controlling the mech certainly could do with some rights

"Person" covers all bases, and I agree about rights for humans. Hard to say what their situation is without knowing more, though.

Yeah. Good point about the terminology covering all bases. I guess that part of my comment points more towards my experience, and making sure I was being inclusive. As someone who was brought up with parents/adults using slurs in everyday conversations, I tend to overcorrect
