What they mean when they say it made art “accessible”, is that now you can be utterly entirely talentless and produce trash. That, too, was true before AI.
What they mean is that you don't have to pay an artist because "AI" has stolen, and can reproduce, their work for you.

True but the trash before AI mostly look like trash now it’s look like polished trash
Using AI and thinking you made art is like paying someone to draw something and telling people you made it
