It's always the same with these types, eh?

"OMG JUST LOOK IT UP!"

I mean, I'm willing to change my mind if they can provide a reputable source, but they never want to.

Needs AI to fix grammar too

You're getting down voted but I noticed I'm seeing a lot of these hot Chinese girl spy jokes a lot and it's pretty scary. It always just start as jokes.

That term really creeped me out. It's so cringey to a point that it scares me. Delusional asshole.

Either way it sounds like the worst penis.

Thanks, this post reminded me that I used to follow a Japanese artist that did the same thing and I missed the last 3 year's worth of content!

An entire generation left behind

Where is the source for this?

What a weird article. Most of these are fireworks accidents possibly inflicted upon the victims by themselves (no details). The cause of the church fire is unknown. Two of the firework deaths were in Germany (why mention that in an article titled 'Netherlands police face 'unprecedented' New Year's violence'?). Then they kinda sprinkle on some info about reports of violence against police (again, no details).

I see it on mercari. If people could fund it, I can buy it since I live in Japan and upload scans.

Ah, you're right. I didn't grow up reading DC or Marvel, so I was under the impression that Western comics didn't do that as much. Another one I don't like is characters having names for each one of their attacks and screaming it out loud. As much as I love shonen mangas, it always felt super weird. I'd be very interested in knowing when/why these tropes became popular.

I don't even understand his previous comment. He doesn't like children and mortgages and his wife's job?

Hey guys,

I started this community because I was a frequent user of /r/translators before I got banned from Reddit. I'm a translator/interpreter in Japan, and I really like helping people with translations in my free time too.

I've helped many people dodge bullets with crappy Japanese tattoos that make no sense, decipher old letters, identify artworks, and much more.

Of course, the community is not limited to just Japanese and English pairs. Anyone is free to ask help with whatever language!

よろしく!

PS: It's my first time ever modding a community so I've a lot to learn. Feel free to let me know if I'm doing something wrong.

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in learning Japanese while they played games with me starting in January. I'm a Japanese-English interpreter living in Japan, and I wanted to start a streaming channel in which I would teach Japanese as I play games. The problem is, my rusty old brain isn't used to playing and talking, so I need someone to rejuvenate my brain.

I won't be recording or streaming our sessions, and I'm not asking for money. I just need to get my brain used to doing more than one thing at a time. Oh and if you could help me improve my Smash skills, that would be a plus.

DM me if you're interested. I have a Switch 2 and a somewhat outdated PC. I can get a copy of whatever game you might be interested in playing together if I don't already own it.

I've noticed that a lot of video descriptions are about some Japanese piezoelectric tech written in English, Japanese, and Chinese. The weird thing is it's not even new tech. Can someone let me in on the joke or whatever it is?

Edit: I should clarify, the video and the description have nothing to do with eachother. I'll be watching a kid smoked in the head with a basketball and the description is about the tech mentioned above.

I can't seem to log in now find any information regarding this instance. It's also the same with lemmy.wtf. Is this happening for everyone else or just me?

I'm not very good at analyzing/critiquing movies or novels, so I was wondering someone more experienced than me to help understand why I can't enjoy recent movies.

Specifically, I recently watched Jurassic World: Rebirth and didn't enjoy it at all. I just feel like movies have very little consequences for crappy decisions by the characters and there are so many safety nets (plot armour) for the main characters. As a result,

Spoilerhardly anyone you'd expect die in a dire situation like in the movie to actually die.
So, nothing is really thrilling and most character deaths don't elicit any kind of emotional response.

And when speaking of death, I feel like there are other shows, movies, and anime where they just kill people off nilly willy like kind of an anti-meme. I guess it's more like gore shock that they're going for, but the most I get from that is maybe disgust.

I was thinking it's because I'm just too old and can't get attached to things so quickly, but I seriously cried when

SpoilerRengoku died after fighting Akaza
in Demon Slayer. I still feel like a real person has died and I miss him dearly.

Assuming it's not me, and it's the kinds of "blockbusters" that I'm watching, what is it that they're getting wrong with their storytelling?

Boys are back home! Go Sens Go!

Let's goooo!!

Go Sens!

They just said the last time the two teams played in the Playoffs, Facebook was two months old. Why do they gotta say stuff like that... Damn I'm ancient!

Been unable to watch the last few games because of a work trip! Go Sens!

I've missed the last two games because of my work trip, but I'm extatic!!!

I've been seeing some comments elsewhere that the last game wasn't a very good one, and holy hell they're right lol

But the BJs were maybe more desperate (sounds weird).

Anyways, super stoked!!

Go Sens!
