Hormones can play a role as well. Anecdotally, my wife's hair during pregnancy became fuller and less brittle. Duckduckgo "pregnancy hair". A monthly cycle, being on hormonal birth control, etc. will likely have some effect. I definitely agree that genetics does play a bigger role, but claiming that gender/sex plays no role is definitely incorrect.

I like how OOP gets the name wrong also. Shane not Shawn. It really makes it feel extra condescending.

Well, I'm pretty sure the Earth is in orbit around a star [citation needed], so I would think solar panels on Earth would also be in orbit around a star.

I mean, I suppose that technically a lone satellite with solar panels in orbit around the Sun is probably an extremely limited form of a Dyson sphere

it's not as if there's some firm lower bound on what percentage of energy output from the star that needs to be captured. One could presumably scale up incrementally.

By that definition the solar panels that are already on the Earth are a tiny Dyson swarm. And honestly, I approve.

Damn, what a wild take.

Nintendo might not be as innovative as some indie games but they constantly innovate and define new genres.

I mean, look at the consoles. Wii, Wii U, and Switch are all crazy innovative.

Some of their more innovative stuff might not be as popular, e.g., ARMS and LABO. Even their mainline series have some innovative mechanics for the genre.

Serious question. What company is more innovative than Nintendo?

Eh, English probably isn't his native language. I try to be pretty forgiving spelling and grammar on the Internet.

What? No. The divisibility of the side lengths have nothing to do with this.

The problem is what's the smallest square that can contain 17 identical squares. If there were 16 squares it would be simply 4x4.

RIP Coding Blocks. I listened to them for years but they are on a permanent hiatus.

Mad Men: I feel bad for you. I don't think about you at all.

Similar vibe, but I think about this scene/meme a lot as well.

Likewise, Don Draper is being an asshole in the scene. But, in reality most people don't think about you.

They could say something that offended you. They are going to forget about it. So there is no need to be upset, chances are they forgot about it.

You could say something dumb or embarrassing. People are going to forget almost immediately.

The War On Drugs is mostly a racist political policy from Nixon to prevent minorities and hippies voting.

Alcohol is hard to control and too closely tied to many social occasions.

I tried to convince my mom Diablo 2 was good because the goal is to defeat the devil.

Who dies at mutter?

I'm sure there's lots of cases where it could be deadly without good enunciation.
