As you all know, I’ve been the head of your mom for the better part of eleven years. I believe that I’ve successfully turned your mom around from a struggling startup to a powerful player in the game, and I believe your mom’s shareholders would agree.

Recent events have led me to conclude that it’s best for me to hand over your mom to someone new. Someone younger, with vision, who will lead your mom to ever greater heights. Make no mistake, though, I will miss your mom dearly.

On Monday your mom’s board will convene to vote on a new CEO, and whoever that may be, they will have my full support and I am sure that your mom will continue to thrive under them.

I’d to finally thank your mom and all of your mom’s leadership for their hard work over the years and their words of support during this transition.

All the ones I’ve found appear to be dead.

I’d be particularly interested in a community where people listen and offer feedback on each other’s projects, allow you to promote your released music and network with each other. Reddit has r/wearethemusicmakers and r/indiemusicfeedback which are thriving and positive spaces, for example. I just haven’t seen anything like that here l, at least nothing that’s caught on.

So she sends me this clip for something called Retro Snap, I do a little reading up on it and discover that it’s overpriced, cheap hardware, made by a “business” that ghosts you when you need support, takes down negative reviews and even tries to bribe mods to take down critical posts. For starters. So fuck them.

Looking for alternatives, I learn about Anbernic, and as I’m reading up on them I very quickly feel overwhelmed by the huge variety of consoles on the market and vague info on what games you’ll get or how to get the ones you might want (yes I understand why but still).

So you, smart people, can you help a brother out?

Just popped in my head after…geez, probably a good thirty years or so. Feel like I slacked off on my Alamo remembrin’.
