Hiking southern Tasmanian beaches, it was mostly washed-up nylon trawler netting.

I brought soft cheese and salami as my friends wife was complaining about missing it.

Kiwi Tesla's probably come from China like Aussie ones.

Statistics are massively manipulable. I did an entire unit on assessing the quality of research and stats. If someone (ie the general public) doesn't know what to look for you can just about say whatever you want.

Make sure you know of a machine service centre before buying a thrift machine. I went through three thrift machines that all failed me before I bought a simple $100 machine new on sale. It's done everything I need, straight and zigzag stitch. I need to go slow through denim or anything heavy, but it's been great.

I've got an Instant Pot electric pressure cooker for my pulces. I still soak them overnight because it helps reduce the farty-ness. But the pressure cooker absolutely sorts out any dried pulce in my experience.

I'm with you on level of understanding, but I think The Greens still need to act like they've got a chance at majority government one day. They need to have an "If we were in charge" rhetoric to show they mean business. The "Legalise pot" party will never reach majority, they're basically a single issue party. The Greens are also for legalising pot but it's only part of The Greens platform.

I'd've liked to see Andor as an ongoing anthology of stories set in the star wars universe. It doesn't need to follow a central story line.

The Australian Greens unveiled their own home battery policy last month, promising households access grants of up to $5,000 – or 50 per cent of the total cost – and low-interest loans of up to $10,000

Mark my words. The ccp will source the reincarnation too and try to claim authority over that branch of Buddhism.

So after ten to twenty five years of use it seems that most of my pairs of Holeproof Explorers are giving up on me. They're wearing out in such a manner that darning the spots isn't going to cut it anymore. I hear rumours that the company has changed hands and the modern versions just aren't the same quality.

So I'm up for 5-10 pairs of new socks. I hear good things about wool / merino, but buying anything online I'm sceptical of the actual quality once it gets to me. Even temu makes their products look appealing all the way until you open the package.

Given this group is still small and off the marketing radar, anyone got any brand name suggestions, or even stores I should visit, maybe I should be buying wool and a sock knitting machine.

Thanks for your thoughts.

So mum drives a 2003 Nissan pulsar, n14 I think.

The new mechanic round the corner wants $250 for spark plug change and $400 for front brakes, which I hope is pads and rotors for that price.

I've only worked on old hiaces, spark plugs were $6ea, front pads were about $40 and rotors were $60ish. That totals about $125, double it for modern price gouging to $250, that leaves $400 for labor, which seems high to me.

Whaddya reckon?
