GitS was the seminal manga of my formative years. We had many good and some not so great adoptions over the years, but I am pretty excited for this version. It looks quite close to the manga which is, imho, the best rendition of the concept.

Agreed, for 2D graphics a tablet is the optimal choice. Most 3D suites are really optimized for mouse and keyboard, though.

The fascism was within you the whole time.

I'd love to see a post about this cheap trackball, tbh.

The Chinese, really. I have little sympathy for the CCCP, but immediately standing up to Trump's aggression was the right call.

Wow, he did not only blink first, he did it in record time, too.

Now the whole world can learn how to deal effectively with this would-be strongman.

He makes Lukashenko look like a sensible, intelligent statesman in comparison.

So americans are now living in a Paul Verhoeven movie. Never thought this would become a reality.

I have every device connected via cable to my PC. I tried wireless peripherals and was disappointed every time.

Mouse for gaming and graphics, trackball for everything else. Why choose when you can have both?

That whole "throwing people in jail for weeks for thought crime" thing isn't as inviting as Trump thinks, apparently.

I've been rocking the Kensington Orbit wired for years now and I've yet to find a better trackball.

Reasons:

  • works for both hands
  • scroll ring
  • big ball
  • wired
  • works reliably

I use the trackball with my left hand and a mouse with my right.

It seems like such a cheaply made product, but it just works so very, very well.

No social media site can exist without a section dedicated to trackballs, the arguably superior input method.

The previous communities went stale, so here is my take on it. Looking forward to welcoming the tens of people interested in this topic!

As with all things the Trump administration is doing, this moment came sooner than one would have expected.

This baby is a chunky one: the base is a hefty GMMK 3 Pro with Glorious Fox Red Heavy switches. I put Cerakey black caps on it.

How would I describe it? Typing is almost ethereal, with the weight of the caps doing a lot of the work. It sounds very deep and creamy with the space bar punctuating each word like Thor's hammer, if you hit it hard enough. The caps are an absolute dream to touch, they feel warm and so, so smooth.

I struck gold with this build, typing is just a joy. I will try even more resistant linear switches, though.

Keycaps with rare materials (discuss.tchncs.de)

I've fallen in love with ceramic keycaps and built two very heavy but very satisfying keyboards with them. But now I crave for more.

One thing that I find somewhat disappointing is the fact that I never found any other vendors besides cerakey for ceramic caps. It's not that I don't like them, but I could go for other styles and layouts given the opportunity.

The other thing is that I would like to explore other materials. I've found wooden caps, again only from exactly one vendor and stainless steel caps by yet another single vendor.

What I would much rather try out are aluminum and glass, both materials I could imagine being pretty great for typing.

And maybe there are other options I haven't even considered yet?

Give me your best shops/stores with rare materials caps, I'm really interested!

Elon, the government doesn't need DOGE. But Tesla does need DOGE because it's spending money inefficiently.

WTF, ist das nicht ein Fall für den MAD?
