When searching for any community with Tesla in its name, all listed communities look like they're about brand enthusiasts. This one seems to have become an unofficial Tesla Takedown hub, but I think it could catalyze the movement if there would be a community that makes the intention clear by its name.

I've thought about creating one by myself, but am tentative whether I should do it on my home instance, because I don't want to put them into legal jeopardy with the kind of comments that might show up, so... if anyone around here knows of a (non-tankie) instance where he/she thinks one could venture creating a c/TeslaTakedown, I'd be happy if you want to go ahead and just do that.

The FT has done an investigation into Tesla’s balance sheet and found out that when comparing Tesla’s capital expenditure—reported at about $6.3 billion for the last six months of 2024—to the corresponding rise in the gross value of its property, plant, and equipment (which increased by roughly $4.9 billion), there appears to be a discrepancy of about $1.4 billion. The FT also notes that while differences between cash outlays and recorded asset increases can sometimes be explained by factors such as depreciation, asset disposals, or foreign currency effects, no clear accounting adjustment was provided by Tesla that would justify this gap. Not only is this anomaly a red flag but also keep in mind Tesla has already been caught red-handed trying to commit fraud in Canada recently by falsifying buying reports (ALL Toronto Tesla Dealers have moved on avg 1200 Teslas per day in the past 4 weeks according to Tesla’s tax credit filing with Canada) in order to cash out on a large lump sum of EV credits from the Canadian Gov.

In other words Tesla is looking more and more like Enron every day now

YouTuber Mark Rober, known for his quirky science experiments and viral videos, is facing major backlash after releasing a video titled “Can You Fool a Self-Driving Car?”—a piece many are calling misleading and deceptive.

Rober never discloses that the video seemingly doubles as a promotion for Luminar, a company struggling with a 96% stock drop over the past five years. Also, Full Self-Driving (FSD) was never used in the video.

Right off the bat, the video’s title misleads viewers. It suggests that Tesla’s FSD is under scrutiny, when in fact, Rober only tested Tesla’s basic Autopilot—a simpler feature designed as advanced cruise control, not as full autonomous driving. While Rober briefly mentions this distinction nine minutes into the video, the damage is done by then.

Elon, the government doesn't need DOGE. But Tesla does need DOGE because it's spending money inefficiently.
