I doubt they are very active there, as they seem busy enough taking care of PieFed.
@andrew_[email protected] : If you're on Reddit, there's someone here who wants you on a list to help lost redditors with on-boarding.

Especially since they don't know anything about it yet - they just know that some capitalist is brushing off an old trademark to create something with shining new AI moderation, and somehow they manage to get their hopes up rather than looking to existing functional alternatives.
Then again, I think this place benefits from a slow and steady growth rate. If 500 000 disgruntled Reddit users decided to move in tomorrow we wouldn't know where to put them. I would rather see us grow through individual communities setting up camp here and making the place their own because they like it here, not a bunch of users coming all at once because Reddit decided to do some thing or another.
Does anyone have experience with https://fairbnb.coop/ ?
Another great Danish alternative for vacation homes (with destinations all over) is Novasol. I've used them a couple of times, my experiences have been great.
For those who want to put the "buy" into buying European, German company Volla phone are the only phone producer I know of where you can currently buy a new device with Ubuntu Touch installed out of the box. I haven't tried it myself, but if anyone is interested they can check for experiences at the ubports forum.
I installed Ubuntu Touch on an old Nexus 6p I revived from the dead a while ago, and it's a great user experience. :)
Oh damn, you're right!
But sometimes on the fediverse there's a "copy link to post/comment on original instance", which I sometimes find to be useful. But this is already pretty great!
That's true - it would be useful to have a "copy direct link" option in the menu bar for each comment. @[email protected]
I just put together my first feed today, collecting more than 60 US protest communities into one feed: https://piefed.social/f/50501
In the drop-down menus on top I can choose between either the communities I'm subscribed to, or the feeds I subscribe to. I can subscribe to public feeds compiled by other users, including users on other PieFed instances. I can also make a private feed if I don't feel like sharing it.
It's pretty great. Would absolutely recommend.
There are two main instances:
https://piefed.social/ and https://feddit.online/
There's no mobile app/APK support at the moment, but it's coming soon.
First thing that came to mind is this (for a horizontal layout), but not a perfect fit for several reasons. Nevertheless a classic.
I'm very happy with my classic Wüsthof. That said, I'll probably buy Victorinox next time I'm out to get a knife - I'm just too darn happy with my Swiss Army knife.
I can't help but think that the web UI should always be the point of entry, and apps should enter the user experience at a later stage.
If not, users won't understand what platform they are actually using, and they will inevitably get confused at some point when something does not work the way it should. Even if the app is perfect now and everything works, an update to Lemmy could still break something.
Then again, I'm a fan of web UIs in general, and I'm terribly old fashioned.
For sure, I'm a big fan of the effort you're making here!
There's just a huge difference between reaching out to a few users and communities telling them there is a better alternative, and a significant portion of the Reddit hive mind suddenly deciding that they want to give Lemmy a try. So as frustrated I am to see people dream about Digg, I'm also kinda cool with it.
According to Fediverse observer, Lemmy has grown by 7400 active monthly users this month (since March 1). That's almost 300 users per day, compared to very little growth the months before. The users who joined the last 25 days make up 13.5% of all our active users. Pretty cool.
