The guy doesn't look very Sherlock to me... but I've seen worse.

And where's the betting pool that the cute boy turns out to be Moriarty's son?

Okay I've seen it so many times now that I went and watched the video (the one the article also links to), and I can confirm that this quote has absolutely nothing to do with AI image generation. The first part of the quote in the post title makes this pretty obvious. Miyazaki watched a diseased hunk of flesh struggle to pull itself forward in an attempt to please the trainer that it knows how to move. This was his reaction.

Would Miyazaki have a similar quote to say about AI images? Maybe. Possibly even probably. But this ain't it.

Great write-up! Pretty sure it's not legal here in Hungary, but I hope to try it out some day!

There's an account setting to show them. Although on the web UI I have to move my cursor on the score to show the up/downvote numbers for posts.

(And while it could be disabled by the instance, .world has downvotes enabled)

Ask him for me which one of these is more like Kiki, please?

It's sometimes Russian, sometimes German for me on lemm.ee.

It doesn't give any actual info about the video anyway... yt links shouldn't be embedded until that changes, tbh.

I grabbed the device from its slumber, ready to fire up a Lemmings session, but I thought I'd check the battery first...

As I pushed to open the battery compartment, the lid popped off, running for its life.

Two years ago it was plenty capable of this. There aren't any obvious patterns these "should" be, so it's difficult to spot anything "obviously wrong", but a lot of it has very AI vibes.

Here's the original, marked as AI: https://stock.adobe.com/images/stones-on-the-beachthe-rolling-stones%2Cthe-rolling-stones-copacabana-beach%2Cge/589377052

You can still like it as background. That's allowed.

The mistake was the first location to begin with, so might as well go all in.

IME the wayback machine might give you the post body. I tend to need the comments as well, and archive.today can save all that properly. It usually isn't saved already, so you'll have to wait a minute or two. I just use this time to look for other sources.

Thanks for the info!

The place I saw it at also had its description describe it as 200 ISO despite the page title saying 400, like on the box. Maybe they are aware of this as well? I might ask the cashier...

Fomapan 400 is the cheapest I could find so far. Under 8€ for B&W 400/36 sounds very decent.

AltA screenshot of the Lemmy web UI showing the profile page of the logged in user. The "Uploads" section of the profile is shown, along with the top of the last uploaded image and a delete button next to it.

You can delete images you accidentally uploaded or don't need anymore. This can be good if you want to try and wipe them from the internet, or you want to lighten storage costs for your instance.

Reiner is a lunar impact crater on the Oceanus Procellarum, in the western part of the Moon.

Do you only contribute what is useful for your own use cases, or whatever you can improve the map with?

For years I was stuck with a setup where my main monitor was plugged into the GPU via HDMI, but my secondary monitor only had VGA, for which the card did not have a port. My motherboard does have one, though. Using that basically worked... with random issues popping up both now on Linux and way back in the dark times.

One of these issues was that FO4 would not display correctly in full screen. It looked fine in windowed, but the cursor would be confined to the top left area of the screen, unless I had my second monitor, physically on the left, virtually on the right instead.

I just inherited a new card and I took the financial hit of a cheeseburger's worth for a VGA-DisplayPort adapter, and now it works just fine in full screen!

The issue is still open! The merge request seems to be almost ready. Though there hasn't been any new development since May.
