Unless you are training to be a professional, do whatever you can do consistently.

I currently do 1 compound and 2 isolation exercises on each day, with some forearm work. I used to do 5-6 exercises per day but it felt too exhausting and I needed a deload after a few weeks.

I am seeing good progress with both routines. It might be a little less in the new one but I have much more energy throughout the day.

But science says the exact opposite is true. A drunk person has lower inhibitions so they express what they think easily. They don’t sugar coat it or try to hide their thoughts. This picture is a feel good thing which might be true in some situations but is generally wrong and is defending bad behaviour.

It is opposite in my experience. I never hit my planned reps or new PRs on days I don’t feel like going to the gym

You will feel it when you need it. Low energy, no new PRs, joint soreness, etc

If you are worried about injury during deadlift, you are using too much weight too soon. Learn form with lower weights to prevent injury.
