Did you put some BBS-style ansi art in there?

You are assuming having pride means you put down others accomplishments, but that's not always the case. You can be a fan of a sports team and still not hate the opposing team.

Being proud of someone else makes you a douchebag?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 days ago

That's quite the lore

I can cook just fine, but I really prefer baking. With cooking you have to make sure you are there watching it the whole time. I love how with baking I can just mix it up in a bowl, pour it in a pan, and cook it for an hour in the oven.

I don't know what value my comments adds to this discussion, just wanted to share my love of baking ig.

Well there is no medical need for pedophilia, in fact its a terrible thing. No good person would disagree. However, HRT is not morally wrong, and is often medically necessary.

I feel there is no good reason to artificially limit your number of romantic/sexual partners to 1. I do, however, think there are good reasons for monogamy such as lowering risk of STDs or if you don't have the mental capacity to care for two partners. However, if you can make it work, I don't see any issue with polyamory.

Personally I'd never encourage suicide, but I also don't think its morally wrong, and I think it is morally wrong to stop it by force. At the end of the day, people have bodily autonomy, no matter how tragically they use it.

I would say that capitalism does seem like paradise, but as soon as you think even slightly deeper it's terrible. Sure it's great for everyone to be able to choose where to work or not work, and to have many different options on what to buy, but it falls apart rather quick. People often don't have much of a choice of where to work and they are forced to participate in capitalism to survive, which means abusive employers run rampant. And as far as product choice, it seems great, but with infinite growth we will run out of resources to continue.

I think rescuing animals is good, but continuing to breed them is absolutely morally wrong

antinatalism is gross

Why so?

I discovered a while back that my Garmin GPS keeps track of everywhere I go automatically when it is turned on. I found this article about how I could easily copy the gpx files from it onto a computer. I like to hoard the gpx files it produces. I found a website called dérive which can show hundreds of gpx tracks on an OpenStreetMap background. It's super interesting to look at and see everywhere I've drove in the world. Additionally, the gpx tracks are useful for OpenStreetMap editing.

I read the section two definition of "chemical and surgical mutilation" and it mentions altering sex organs to remove their biological functions. One of the biological functions of a penis is to produce sperm. So could this mean no more federal coverage for vasectomies as well as stuff like tubal litigation or hysterectomies? And yes, I know that people under 19 don't usually get permanent sterilization procedures anyways, but I still wonder about this interpretation.

The phrase “chemical and surgical mutilation” means the use of puberty blockers, including GnRH agonists and other interventions, to delay the onset or progression of normally timed puberty in an individual who does not identify as his or her sex; the use of sex hormones, such as androgen blockers, estrogen, progesterone, or testosterone, to align an individual’s physical appearance with an identity that differs from his or her sex; and surgical procedures that attempt to transform an individual’s physical appearance to align with an identity that differs from his or her sex or that attempt to alter or remove an individual’s sexual organs to minimize or destroy their natural biological functions. This phrase sometimes is referred to as “gender affirming care.”

It's a bit obnoxious. I make this excellent chili for family gatherings and nobody ever calls it just "chili". They always say "vegan chili".

The other day I made some pumpkin bread. When me and my dad went over to my grandmas house, we brought it. My dad announced "She made some vegan pumpkin bread!". Grandma knows I am vegan. So of course if I made it, it will be vegan, no need to state that.

I know this is a really stupid pet peeve that will probably get me downvoted to oblivion, but idk. Maybe someone here also gets it.

Mine is mapping. I am a big OpenStreetMap contributor and I have mapped many towns near me that were previously completely unmapped.
