Opt in or out makes no difference for its affects on being able to discern where someones opinions are coming from. "Just evaluate the arguments themselves" means trolls insta-win.

That was based on military contributions, but as the commenter below points out it turns out the situation is even worse than what I described rather than better unless I read that wrong?

Bread remains one of the cheapest foods. Get some frozen bread, rinse it quickly with water, then bake it.

As good as fresh, dirt cheap, and you don't have to bake.

Because Europe has had half a decade to fill the void and they can't get it done and continue to act like cost efficiency is the name of the game.

Europeans seem to want to rag on about the US being irrelevant while being completely unwilling to put their money where their mouths are.

I am very supportive of Europe, but they need to wake up to that reality and stop bickering about pennies.

They should have been at wartime production years ago, and yet they still don't even have a 5th let alone 6th gen fighter jet.

The fact that the USA, who is currently chopping its own legs off, is managing to provide just about equally to the Ukrainian war effort to you, who are literally neighbours, should be embarrassing and sobering, but instead people just keep complaining and expecting the US to both shut up, and fix it.

may only be a deterrent to tech illiterate stalkers but better than nothing imo

This sounds an awful lot like "think of the [irrelevant group used for leverage such as terrorists or babies]" arguments.

This largely has not been a problem, and so to loose something much more important for it seems absurd to me.

It doesn't need to. This is about the relevance of the platform, and it remains highly relevant.

Social media companies exist to control what the public thinks the public thinks (generally). They don't care nearly as much about profitability, and its obvious that musk more than others felt this way, especially with getting exactly what he wanted politically.

So what? These are public comments. If you don't want your comments to haunt you for a prior bad take, maybe don't have bad takes or alternatively, explain them.

If you're saying you put personal information there, one layer of obfuscation wouldn't stop someone motivated from finding information. This only stops people using profiles as intended.

Not even close. It simply has too much critical mass.

Twitter was taken over by a white south african nazi and grifter with delicate sensibilities and people are still using it like nothing has happened.

Reddit would have to enshitify even more, and believe me they are trying.

He might not have been rich enough yet to be in that club at the time.

They have openly hired a diddler though. Was a big story for a while. Don't remember all the details except of course they did not allow much discussion of it.

All while they partner with Google for ai training.

Even if there are typical differences, that’s not a rule. Which is the point.

Something not being a rule doesnt make it locally insignificant. People in these various regions and cultures all have general ideas of how they would like to outwardly present themselves.

You literally mention the difference but then want to ignore the implications of that difference.

Gay men and Straight men generally have differences on average in what they do to attract perceived partners past the baselines of having a pulse and being a functional human being.

Link to official blog post (somehow still blames people for correctly understanding their first statements)

Of Note:

  • No dates were specified, No commitments made.

  • Day 1 game support was not promised, just individual game support.

  • They still plan on splitting the development for RDNA1 and RDNA2 from RDNA3 and RDNA4 development, giving only the latter support for new features.

Edit:

I am looking for games that are visually impressive and make use of my 5090 so I can get more use out of it before it becomes second place (though I guess technically its second place to the RTX 6000 Pro Blackwell).

I have already played Cyberpunk 2077, played the heck out of it, very fun, though it has some annoyances so on subsequent playthroughs mods removed those annoyances for me which was great. This game really had a lovely skill tree customization which let you have many different play styles and the free form missions were excellent for letting you complete them in all sorts of ways.

I have also played Atomfall and just have the new DLC left to play through. Its not really that graphically challenging. It was an OK game.

I have also played Split Fiction, which is probably the absolute most fun anyone can have with another person in video game form, especially if one is used to games and the other isnt, but in other cases as well. Very relaxing and high fun to down time ratio.

Played both Robocop games as well. Ok, but not that graphically challenging.

Sort of the big thing I want to avoid is MTXs and marketing dark patterns like FOMO and especially Monetary Dark Patterns. Basically things listed on this website are things I want to avoid

For the record I play on a 4k 144hz monitor and prefer higher frame rates, like 100 ish for comfortable play without eye strain.
