Think of a protocol like a language; if you just blurt out sounds no one will understands, but if you make sounds that correspond to an already agreed upon meaning, it becomes communications.

The same thing is true for sending 1s and 0s; they are meaningless unless the other end understands them and a protocol is "the agreement" both ends use to communicate.

I use a binder with those clear plastic sheets with compartments, meant for card collecting, for my small components, and assortment boxes, with removable compartments, for the rest.

The binder is great! Tons and tons of small compartments (or fewer big ones) with a huge selection og organization accessories, in very little space. Don't turn it upside down, though. I put electrical tape over the openings of the compartments, to avoid that catastrophe.

Especially if we use that new LLM thing to generate them!

Sure, default GNOME is pretty barebones, most people use GNOME Tweaks as well for additional settings and some amount of extensions depending on your workflow.

In principle, i would have prefered that this was all built in, but practically, it works really well, for me at least.

Try running GNOME on it. It has pretty good touch support.

Aurora is frontend to the Google Play Store, and Google requires a log in.

If you log in anonymously, you use common Google credentials shared between users of the app.

While this is not ideal (that would be anonymous access to the store) it is the best solution we have.

No, what enabled this to begin with, is the British government handing a piece of land, with an indigenous population, to a different ethnic group that has since then been ethnically cleaning that piece of land, with help, blessings and UN Security Council vetos from our governments.

MME is a credible media outlet. Maybe you think otherwise because they don't spare your conscience from our complicity in this genocide, like the BBC does.

Palestinians have a right to self defence, just like Ireland, India and all your other former colonies. Yes, Palestine is also a former British colony, and like so many others have had to fix a mess created by the western world.

Are islamists a single organized group? Is it a term so completely mixed with "The War on Terror" propaganda, that it is any muslim who does not appreciate our vision for a place we have no right to, and who opposes that through an organisation defined through a religion.

You are not a millimeter better than a person opposed to "christians" getting a win.

Oh, like the ones that do not acknowledge a genocide?

Or the ones that don't need additional sources if the israeli genocidal army sats something?

You don't think that makes western media "unserious"?

I would join the Muslim Brotherhood, if that would help the kids being killed by the israeli genocidal army.

It would be rather fucking nice if you got your priorities in order.

Well, a sewing needle, needle pins, some thread and a project.

Sewing kits are okay, but usually very low quality and with a lot of junk (looking at you, mini-foldable-scissor)

You can get lucky thrifting and get huge amounts of high quality thread for no money. You probably know someone who has a lot of sewing stuff who would love to hook you up.

Otherwise, just buy what you need for the project you are doing.

Use cotton thread for cotton fabric, poly thread for synthetics. Match the thread with the fabric.

If you mainly repair stuff, buying supplies will save more than you spend pretty quickly.

I absolutely agree. Those do not look like the same type of wood at all.

The link talks about new vs old construction lumber. "New growth" vs "old growth" is very misleading in this context. It should be understood as "fast growing trees" vs "slow growing trees" ie. soft wood vs hard wood.

With that said, I am very open to the idea that trees have been breed to grow faster (and of worse quality). I believe that without having any evidence of it, but this is not that evidence.

No, sadly not. Maybe it's implemented in Fish?

That was what I was expecting, without trying.

Maybe it's just the right Decky add-on away? I have used add-ons for enabling VPNs so this should be possible, if not done already.

They're so full of potential

"Katte-" as a prefix means relating to a cat. Eg. "Kattepoter" = "cats paws"

Gat means the cloaca on a fish or a bird (cloaca is the all-in-one hole on fish, birds, etc.)

I realize this is probably a very wrong interpretation, but in that case, i don't want to be right.
