suppress American viewpoints

Which viewpoints are those exactly, Marco? [looks at list] So, hate-speech and disinformation? Is that what you're protecting? Crikey!

'Dragged down'? Oh, no. They don't get to wash away their complicity by blaming this on one man. They've been dragging themselves down for decades prior to Trump.

displeased the oligarchy

Musk himself in particular by shutting down the investigations into his multiple crimes.

And he will face exactly zero consequences because everything is awful.

Speaking of David Byrne (yes, Remain in Light is brilliant), Uh-Oh is such a masterpiece. Catchy upbeat tunes, with some of the darkest most cynical lyrics, while being very progressive at the same time (the opening track is a celebration of being transgender - in 1992!). I've listened to it thousands of times and am still not tired of it. Sometimes I'll listen just for George Porter Jr's bass lines.

Anyone calling themselves 'ThePatrioticBlonde[USA flag]' can't be taken seriously on any matter.

One of the best.

Back in the eighties, I loved Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and upon reading the film's credits, I discovered the ending song, Oh Yeah, was by a band called Yello. In the spirit of irony, I went to my local record shop in Burnie looking to get a copy for myself. I purchased a cassette copy of 'The New Mix In One Go' (a best of album), and it ignited a lifelong love of the band that persists to this day.

Stella, the album from which it comes is also one of their best.

This guy is literally fantastic. I highly recommend listening to his entire discography.

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I think it fits. Really interesting video from the guy that used to do the "Philosophy of..." videos on Wisecrack.

New album dropped from these guys a few months ago - 'Back', A homage to Back To The Future. Love some nerd rock.

Amazing album, and I'm not even all the way through it yet.

I wasn't sure where to post this - music or funny. It's both. Reggie Watts put up a full show recently. He's so good.

I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place to share this, but fans of Firefly might appreciate this new podcast from Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk; two of my favourite men in media reminiscing about their Firefly days. It's great.

Been working my way through this band's discography and liking pretty much all of it. This track stood out, especially when the guitar solo kicks in.

Been listening to these guys on the way to work this week. So bombastic and punchy.

The Night Flight Orchestra put out a new album this year and I only just now found out! Love their retro glam rock vibe. Amber Galactic is a recent all-time favourite.

I haven't been riding much since about 2011 due to various issues with my bike pissing me off, and also being too heavy for it. I've lost the weight and finally got everything working again, with a little help from DT Recumbents in Rothwell (awesome work, James), and took it out for a ride to Nudgee Beach today. I'm a bit sore after a 30km return ride, but I'm happy, and looking forward to riding it to work in the future.
