"Squirtle use tackle!" Squirtle forgot what move to use because it's attention span is toast.

This oil and gas crisis is the best advertisement for renewables ever. We still barely feel the impact of how unprecedented the supply shortage because renewables soften the blow tremendously. 20 years ago a crisis like this would've ended entire states within weeks and throw half the globe into a deep depression.

Now? Now it's somewhere between very inconvenient and extremely uncomfortable. Ironically I think this is also why so many people don't take the situation serious enough. Like "Oh, even if there's an unprecedented oil crisis it's not that bad! See? Importing oil works!" Some people just never learn, I guess. But the economy will respond and bet even harder on renewables. It's inevitable.

I got a good deal for their older Pro 2 model last year and yeah it's pretty good for the price honestly. Linux functionality is a bit dodgy though. Like, it kinda works but I need to set it up regularly for some reason. Switch mode is only partially supported and I can't get the back buttons to work whatsoever on any mode. I switched to the Sony DualSense for most things but I'm willing to pay a premium price for the Steam Controller.

Back to your point though: Yes, there are good alternatives. Especially if you're looking for something specialized like N64 emulation. 8BitDo got it for you. But man the Steam Controller seemss neat.

Can't talk for Vader but 8BitDo's repairability is going downhill while prices go up. Just based on repariability I would trust this Steam controller to outlive anything else at the moment.

We knew how bad the situation was economically but we also knew sanctions would have a much delayed effect. Economists have explained that plenty back when it seemed sanctions wouldn't do much at first. As far as I'm aware, Russia transformed into a full on war economy since. That delayed things even further but it will make the fallout even worse for the country. Putin really doesn't care if Russia even still exists when he goes down.

Funny thing the Japanese still use the word kranker for patient while Germans use patient.

Let me guess he doesn't like Republicans because of their racism against himself specifically but he's totally down to hating other minorities all the same.

Newsflash: Queer rights are human rights, smart ass! We're in this together. Well, not you. You can eat shit, Dave.

On one hand this is an elegant solution that is already in use in Germany for years, if companies want to implement it that is. But I think only Sony's Playstore uses it. Or so I have heard. No US company wants to use it and I am sure they will lobby to get more data from users than a token if this gets rolled out EU wide. I am skeptical about this.

I'm the last person to defend China but this is just moronic on so many levels. China has been hording oil for a long time and it wasn't an issue before. But now that the US started an absolutely senseless and ridiculously stupid war in the most incompetent way imaginable they demand stability? Yeah right. Shut up.

Even supervised driving should only be legal if the remote driver resides in the same country with a legit drivers license and a taxi license. It's outlandish how "self-driving" cars rely on drivers from a different continent with no proof of proficiency.

And it almost makes sense for the Netherlands. Almost. They have amazing infrastructure. Their world class cycling lanes are pretty much disconnected from roads for the most part and even their highways are very decently lit at night. Then again, allowing Teslas to self drive isn't the kind of mindset that got them there in the first place and I won't be surprised when Teslas still fail under these stellar conditions.
