Leader of the “Feed the Leopards” party still claims they will go away after the next feeding.

Hang on. Schumer is a fucking coward, no argument from me there. But who's the leopard here, whose face is getting eaten, and what is the actual face being eaten?

Something about Liz Cheney and a big tent

Republican voters vote for the leopards to eat not just theirs, but everyones' faces. Well, everyone who's who's not rich, anyway. Democrats in power enable the leopards to eat more faces, even though their voters did not vote for it.

That... has nothing to do with the linked article. What specific policy is being talked about in the article, and who is supporting that policy only to get hurt by the policy itself applying to them?

The terminology has existed long before this article and is much more widespread.

Per the sidebar for this community, "leopards ate my face" is a metaphor specifically for the 2-part case of:

  1. someone supporting an oppressive person or policy ("I support the Leopards Eating Faces Party")
  2. only to get oppressed by the very person or policy they supported ("I didn't expect them to eat my face")

So, once again, what specifically is this article saying that Schumer supported, and how is he now being oppressed by it? Because younger Democrats giving him shit for enabling fascism isn't actually oppression.

People continue to be blown away that the party that tefuses to stop the fascist party continue to not stop fascists. I'm sure that Shumer handing Trump everything he wanted is all Hexbear's fault too

I think a lot of us are still in denial about rotating villains, ratchet effect, Overton window etc.

It stings, but I hope my face is at least chewy. (Not in the right state, but I feel this one applies)

Not sure if I know any young Democrats who campaigned for Schumer in NY, and if anything would probably have supported a primary challenger if they were more invested or had someone to rally behind. But voting for him over what, a Republican? Do they even seriously run for Senate seats there?

Is there an animal that works instead of leopard? "I didn't think the ostrich would bury it's head when the leopards ate my face"?

The Dems that voted for this bill will 100% have primary challengers.
