Mark my words, he'll become the world's first trillionaire by way of embezzling from the government. He's always been a grifter.

Also, Grimes is disgusting for not only having three children with him, but for writing a song "We appreciate power" when they first started up. A truly disgusting display on her part.

It is disappointing.

She says he's no longer recognisable as the man she loved, but if she'd spoken much to his first wife she'd've been given all the details on how messed up he was.

I get what you're saying- there was a pattern of behaviour established before. But I'm cracking up at the idea of sitting down and interviewing a potential partner's exes to see if the relationship is a good fit.

[–] MutilationWave@lemmy.world 7 points 10 months ago

It happens.

[–] Rekorse@sh.itjust.works 3 points 10 months ago

People find partners like they do restaurants, word of mouth.

[–] Brutticus@lemm.ee 11 points 10 months ago (1 children)

So I have this theory that Elon has only ever experienced love once in his entire life. Think about it; who does he interact with? His parents, other CEOs, VC types, servants. They all want something from him. He has the most powerful people in the world (and a whole subclass of weird guy) in line to sack ride him. That must just seem like how the world is supposed to be. And then he starts dating Grimes, who is a relatively normal person, who shows him real genuine love.

And then they break up in a real, genuine, and actually pretty normal way, and Musk is in no way emotionally prepared for it, like a teenager. So he gets mad at everything she taught him, at everything they shared, at everything he was when he was with her. But most interestingly, he can't buy the thing she gave him, so he's been trying to convince himself it was an illusion that never existed in the first place.

[–] Semjaza@lemmynsfw.com 9 points 10 months ago (1 children)

His dad was also a fucked up example of a man.

He chain married and bred women, including the daughter of one of his wives.

Musk's birther fetish/life goal is just copy-pasted from the shitheel of a dad who seemed to have little care for any of the kids he pumped into many different women.

Do many people make a habit of having deep conversations with their partners' exes?

[–] Semjaza@lemmynsfw.com 4 points 10 months ago (1 children)

If you're planning to have one or more children with someone, speaking to the person they divorced after more than a decade of marriage is probably a sensible idea.

[–] clockworkrat@slrpnk.net 4 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Well, anecdotally I didn't and it's going well so far. I feel like trusting the honesty of the person you're with to be open about their past should work

[–] prettybunnys@sh.itjust.works 1 points 10 months ago

It’s a mixed bag.

If someone came to me about my ex had inform them what made me stick around for a decade and what tainted the memory of that and why I never would again.

I’d hope they changed and grew and I’d hate to taint someone else’s ability to have something with them, or doubt their ability to grow.

But also. Idk, I wouldn’t sail on a refloated titanic

She will go down in history as a poor artist and the biggest gold digger

[–] VubDapple@real.lemmy.fan 5 points 10 months ago

She won't go down in history. No one is going to remember her except her kids.

[–] ThunderWhiskers@lemmy.world 7 points 10 months ago

He bought the United States government. Plain and simple. He backed all of Trump's shenanigans, was pivotal in his win, and now Trump is going to allow him to twist and break our government in whichever way is going to net him more power. I have no doubt he will make obscene amounts of money from this but the non-fungible benefits are what really scare me. Someone mentioned Musk focusing on ICBM production moving forward and I don't know if I fully buy into that idea but it is a terrifying one.

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago (1 children)

to be fair grimes is retarded

...havin' a roni?

[–] N0body@lemmy.dbzer0.com 69 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Working his 20-something slaves and H1B guys to death while being terminally online and obsessed with memes and petty online shit. The new Fuhrer sucks.

I honestly think I prefer Trump. At least his grift and bullshit are predictable. Fuhrer Musk plays with everything like a spoiled child/future serial killer plays with small animals. He thinks tearing shit apart and destroying it is the right way to interact with the world, and he lacks even the most basic aspects of humanity.

[–] Benjaben@lemmy.world 35 points 10 months ago (2 children)

Please don't let Musk convince you Trump is decent/better.

[–] AppleTea@lemmy.zip 25 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I dunno, Trump seems capable of recognizing when something doesn't play well in front of an audience. Like, the one skill he actually has is working a crowd.

Musk insists he was always right and doubles down.

[–] Reverendender@sh.itjust.works 20 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Only crowds of a certain intelligence level though

[–] MutilationWave@lemmy.world 13 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (1 children)

"I love the poorly educated"

He works up a crowd of thousands, and he'd be embarrassed to sit for a meal with a single one of them.

[–] Reverendender@sh.itjust.works 2 points 10 months ago (1 children)

If he could experience embarrassment, anyway

[–] MutilationWave@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago

Yeah when I wrote that word I knew it was wrong. Is there a more elegant way of saying 'cognizant of the potential damage to his reputation if he were seen in public with one of his rank and file rednecks'?

[–] Stern@lemmy.world 7 points 10 months ago

Decent? Nah. Better? Maybe in the sense that if I had to have one hand hit with a hammer I'd rather it be non-dominant one.

[–] fluxion@lemmy.world 65 points 10 months ago (2 children)

He also lies about how good he is at video games

[–] SaharaMaleikuhm@feddit.org 29 points 10 months ago (2 children)

He pays people to play for him, so other people will think he is a cool gamer just like them. Dude is 53, has 12 children and his net worth is $400 billion.

[–] Honytawk@lemmy.zip 22 points 10 months ago

And when the internet found out he just bought his accounts, he went "what you gonna do about it"

I hope they just ban his accounts.

[–] fluxion@lemmy.world 15 points 10 months ago (1 children)

He also claims to work 16 hours a day while simultaneously flossing his builds that would essentially involve him spending his whole day playing games. These people are so far beyond accountability that they don't even bother keeping track of their lies anymore.

[–] marcos@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

He works 16 hours a day on which one of his jobs?

There's a comedy series that TV keeps repeating here, where in one episode a guy suddenly has 6 full time jobs...

[–] Raiderkev@lemmy.world 10 points 10 months ago

Surely a man of this level of character wouldn't also cheat to win an election

[–] adarza@lemmy.ca 31 points 10 months ago

100s of billions of dollars, still can't afford thicker skin.

has he tried the billion-dollar store?

[–] HubertManne@moist.catsweat.com 20 points 10 months ago

I really hate these times when jokes are useless because of how just reporting on the news in a real way is so absurd to begin with you have to laugh/cry. I don't like when tragedy and comedy merge.

[–] thatradomguy@lemmy.world 20 points 10 months ago (2 children)

Actually, he's mad they cut off his source of porn when they shutdown all the nsfw subs. He obviously compensates with his huge ego.

[–] MutilationWave@lemmy.world 6 points 10 months ago

The richest man in the world's servants can get him someone to have sex with inside of 30 minutes, I'm sure.

[–] johnnybravo@lemm.ee 5 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

Which is why he bought twitter 🐦📱, it being his last source of hentai👙🍑💋. The fact that it's renamed into the most nsfw branding ever, i.e., X 🍆, is more than mere coincidence.

[–] index@sh.itjust.works 16 points 10 months ago (2 children)

There's nothing more pathetic than someone using reddit in 2025

[–] Martineski@lemmy.dbzer0.com 20 points 10 months ago

Even using xitter?

[–] BigBananaDealer@lemm.ee 3 points 10 months ago

[–] BigBananaDealer@lemm.ee 2 points 10 months ago

does anyone remember when "our boy in blue" was one of the most upvoted posts of all time?

[–] JakJak98@lemmy.world 0 points 10 months ago

It's a coup d'etat of the us federal government. Petty squabbles of reddit are just the tip of the iceberg, and a major political diversion of the real threats happening.
