How does he go to jail and come out looking even better?

From what we've heard, other inmates like him.

Also, he has had mere days in there, as opposed to years.

Bless the prisoners and everyone else looking out for our boy Luigi.

Which made the comments made by that right-wing woman pretty funny. She was saying how she was hoping the other inmates would kill him. Bitch, for what, killing a scumbag CEO? Regular people are cheering him, how do you think people who have been extra fucked over by the system feel?

[–] SkyeStarfall@lemmy.blahaj.zone 49 points 2 years ago

I can't imagine anyone disliking him in prison. He did nothing that could be deemed immoral if you're already breaking laws, and most of the prison population are victims of the system

Ordinarily this comment would seem hyperbolic, but considering how many people are actually seeing the usually ignored strings of the ruling class attempting to manipulate the narrative and bringing down extremely harsh charges, clearly for the crime of killing one of them...it seems pretty accurate.

I sense that all these great perp walk photos are designed to influence the place of the trial, EG all of these states are saturated with the news, he can't get an impartial trial here, but over in this state where we hand picked a judge who will hand down a death sentence, it's A-OK. Venue change please!

The expression on the security guard on the right is hilarious to me.

[–] Swedneck@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 1 year ago

i just realized that he somehow specifically triggers the urge to help him with workouts and taking photos for a dating profile, the masculine urge to help a bro look his best

Can anyone explain to me why the handcuffs are tied to a chain around his body? It's obviously to limit his arm movement so he can't put someone in a e.g. a chokehold, but why are they not just holding his arms in that case? IIRC it's my first time seeing a chain used for that. Are they so afraid of him?

[–] BrazenSigilos@ttrpg.network 21 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

It's pretty common practice to do when an inmate is going to be outside prison walls for transportation or court trips. At least in NY it is.

[–] TheFriar@lemm.ee 17 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I was taken to jail for a night and they put those on me. For reckless driving.

[–] pancakes@sh.itjust.works 13 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Maybe they were worried that you'd drive them crazy.

[–] Swedneck@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 1 year ago

"will you PLEASE stop holding an invisible steering wheel and making engine noises?!"

[–] BastingChemina@slrpnk.net 4 points 2 years ago

Rather than a chain I've seen a kind of thick leather belt with a metal hook on our being used specifically for that.

It looked more adequate than the chain.

[–] airportline@lemmy.ml 17 points 2 years ago

I have a strong reasonable doubt that Luigi is the perpetrator

[–] NickwithaC@lemmy.world 16 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Should I understand this reference?

It's from Mangione's manifesto

[–] collapse_already@lemmy.ml 13 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Why does his entourage look like the entourage that was escorting Oswald when Jack Ruby struck? They better not whack him.

[–] cranakis@reddthat.com 8 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

I'd they murder him, I am starting a religion in his name.

Edit: upon further thought, I think the similarity is mainly the blank clueless looks on the cops' faces.

[–] klemptor@startrek.website 3 points 2 years ago

Also the nondescript hallway.
