Yup. I’m in my 30s and my (now retired) parents legitimately are like “come over for dinner but no politics!” My brother is a couple years younger (also in his thirties) and has fallen so blindly to the Facebook misinformation MAGA loop. And it’s really frustrating to just pretend like everything is fine. I love my family, but they are fucking stupid and it’s exhausting to play dollhouse with them like we don’t live in the world we do.
In a statement to the media, Paxton, a Republican, called the ruling “ridiculous” and “not based on the facts or the law.” He also said that his office intends to appeal the ruling.
That’s very interesting, thanks for explaining
Having just completed the game recently, I will say it’s flawed, as is to be expected from an EA game. But it is objectively a good game in my opinion and makes up for its flaws. Where the first game was really more of the “Jedi tries to survive” plot, this game is really “Cal comes into his own and works to make a difference against increasing odds.” Being able to choose between single/double bladed/dual wield/saber&blaster stances is really fun and they all feel thought out in their own way. I would never recommend to buy it at full price, but on sale it’s certainly a fun game to play through
In Jedi Survivor, Cal Kestis basically mirrors

Bode Akuna (a fallen Jedi turned imperial agent)
who fights exclusively with blasters and a saber, and you can utilize a blaster/saber hybrid stance. So if the game is Canon, then a jedi using a blaster combined with a saber is a new form of combat formed after the fall of the jedi
Edit: realized I put a spoiler in even though the game was released two years ago
Sure, I won’t say anything further. The original post was about common morals that you may disagree with and now we’re in pragmatics, no reason to continue
That’s absolutely true, and as I said, I’m not a professional and I would never claim to be, and would never want someone to end their life if they could be helped (probably every person who would regret it). That being said I think there is a social stigma of “don’t do it because what would happen to [x]”? I’ve had close friends that ended their lives and the focus after was on who it affected rather than why or how they got there and why they didn’t get help. Additionally our society is built on a system of “work to live” which can certainly be crushing to those who already feel crushed. Hopefully we can do better in the future.
And much of the calculations were done by computers. And I mean the wonderful ladies that made spaceflight happen:
lol that just sounds like capitalism in the US where “freedom to choose internet” bill is actually freedom for a private corporation to choose where they have monopolies and therefore they get to choose where they sell their internet
Assuming they’re joining those meetings in person instead of from their mansions/yachts/private jets now that they’re afraid of catching that blue shell
