He was a mediocre singer who started on the path to home base and pretends to be a poor person who grew up in a trailer park. His music is crap and I'm glad he's getting the reception he so rightly desrves.

Let it happen in silence. Like donating time / money / or anything else to help those in need. Don’t need to call out you’re being a good person, just be a good person. Do the right thing and let him pass silently into obscurity.
Sometimes it's good to spread this kind of negative publicity, especially where positive action is needed for the person in question to succeed.

this is so much fun to watch.
It's just so weird that there's people that like him and his music. It's really hard to imagine but they genuinely exist. And you wonder how that's even possible and you want to meet one to study them, try get an understanding, just general curiosity. Is it a mental thing? A social one? Trauma? What's happening in their brain where they hear the music and think, "This is really good. It is a favourite thing. In no way is this person a walking meme. They are very cool. I will pay money for this."
He's had about 3 good songs and they were all on one album from 1999, so I imagine his concerts got visits from folks wearing nostalgia goggles, same as Vanilla Ice or Marcy Playground.
Now that he's in the news more for being MAGA, folks who were all "oh boy bawitdaba!" when thinking about him are getting that overwritten with "wasn't he the dude doing shirtless workouts with the brain damaged antivax dude?", and thus, ticket sales fall apart.

Oh dang I've angered the entire Marcy Playground fandom.
I recall Bawitdaba, which was part of Big Shiny Tunes 4 and got played absolutely everywhere just as I was starting out in highschool.
That is literally the only song I know from him.

Here in Australia, he only ever had 1 song. The only reason anyone even remembers who he is, is because Trump pushed him..
No idea why anyone would get music advice from Trump.. I'd send MAGA over to: https://lemmy.world/c/music (it would blow their minds), but, I'm concerned they'd ruin it
