Hi, I'm wondering how many people would agree with this statement:
"I am not antisemitic, I am anti-genocide, and these are two different things."
Just trying to understand general sentiments.

Hi, I'm wondering how many people would agree with this statement:
"I am not antisemitic, I am anti-genocide, and these are two different things."
Just trying to understand general sentiments.
I mean. Those are two different things. I don't know how someone could disagree with it.
That's my first thought but I know some people are very touchy on this topic. The challenge is to say something most people will agree with. It seems like some people pick a side between violence and non-violence, others pick a side between the people groups, some seem to make the two inseparable, and others make it separable.
It would be more awesome if he went to live in Palesrine and shared his views on LGBTQ+
how dare you try to apply logic to a complex political issue!
This guy is about to tie his hands behind his back and then shoot himself in the back of the head.
The Epstein files are not being released only because Israeli officials told Epstein secret shit.
America is controlled by Israel, Israel is a terrorist state that kills innocent civilians. Fuck you Israel!
I've been suicidal since I was 11. Thankfully this isn't Reddit..
Kraft said in a statement shortly thereafter that Sheeran contacted him before Macklemore put out his statement to ask for a $2 million match to aid in the region.
Yes. sure he did. What a coincidence that must've been, and it was for double the amount.
“Ed now plans to reach out to other venue owners and our goal is to continue to work together to build bridges,” Kraft wrote.
Yes, because that will fix it.. /s
That "the region" wording felt very vague to me. Like, the govt. of Israel is also in the region.
I'd wager Kraft has already surpassed that amount, just not to Palestine.
I'm an old man who had no idea who Macklemore was until this week. This guy is fucking cool.
Yes he is. I'm from Seattle so I have a little bit of a headstart on you. But his music is not only catchy but a love letter to the city and state that birthed him. Washington state is beautiful and he really captures that.
I find it funny that on all these Ed and Macklemore posts there's exactly 1 downvote on all the comments.
Somebody's salty. I can almost see their expression as they go through every comment downvoting with full on "I'll show them all" Nerd Rage coursing through their body.
That one downvoter (I bet I know who it is but I don't want to prejudice at that racist fuck):
You can look it up elsewhere, but then the downvoter wins.
From further down in the article:
Pink wrote that she was not trying to get any artist fired or silence anyone but that she took issue with Macklemore’s putting “violent images” of Israel’s military campaign in Gaza up in a stadium filled with families, then telling Jews in the audience that “it wasn’t about them.”
She's mad that Macklemore put up pictures of the shit that the Israeli military did? But she takes no issue with what the military itself did?
When this whole drama broke like 1 or 2 days ago, reading the headlines, I was afraid I'd have to stop listening and supporting Macklemore. The headlines were vague. I'm so happy and artist I love is not a Zionist asshole
His statement:

God I love to see people centering the need for the liberation for the oppressed rather than any of the other shit, fucking well written statement.
This is awesome
now the zionist entity sheeran has been cancelled back to his stupid settler colonial dungeon and palestine is victorious and free, we can finally afford to complete the metro system in gaza and allow public access
awww Kraft must feel this burn pretty deep
( I love hardrock/metal/progrock and i'm not into rap whatsoever, but i'm gonna listen Macklemore's work today )
This is fucking awesome.
Robert Kraft smells like R. Kelly's sheets... Pissssssssssssss...
He wears your grandad's clothes, and he looks incredible
Worth noting that Macklemore knows Kraft won’t match it. Makes it even more of a boss move.
He already said he would match it but $1,000,000 is nothing to Robert Kraft. It’s basically a tax write off for some PR.
I did not expect it, but he did match it.

Lets not forget that Robert Kraft is in the Epstein files
That doesn't surprise me. It's cheap repair for his image. But, it's also disingenuous, which we all know.
Even if Kraft backed down and allowed the show, it wouldn't work. He's exposed himself, there's no repairing that. Also, the artists wouldn't return.
Kraft is known now. And, we know what he is.
Hold up, the post from Kraft only says:
Ed called me and asked me to commit $2 million to match his donation to aid in the region to fight this humanitarian crisis.
Doesn't say he'll do it, and doesn't say it'll go towards aid for Palestinians.
Kraft donated to "support the region". Doesn't say anything specifically about Palestine. Dude probably wrote a $2 million check to Netenyahu.
Settlements in Palestine need investments, the way he describes his donations reeks of dishonesty. "supported efforts to create opportunity for Palestinians" Opportunities aren't food or shelter or aid.
"brought young Palestinians and Israelis together to build businesses, create jobs, and forge relationships" sounds like some Supply-side Jesus bullshit way of saying "I made a fuckton of money in Israel and even deigned to hire some Palestinians to do it"
Interesting, thanks for sharing. I guess I was wrong.
So… this only makes me more confused, though. He shuts down Macklemore because he doesn’t want Macklemore saying “Free Palestine” in his stadium, and then turns around and supports Palestinian causes?
Christ, I must be missing something here.
His PR team specifically chose the words "support the region" and ended the sentence with "I have supported efforts that create opportunity for Palestinians and have brought young Palestinians and Israelis together to build businesses, create jobs"
For example, financing bulldozing a Palestinian village, building an illegal settlement of terrorists, then hiring some Palestinians for pennies to clean the gardens, can technically match the statement
The Israeli Gaza "humanitarian" foundation let thousands of people die of starvation, also. Any donation to the ghf technically counted as Palestine aid, but it's like if during WW2 there was a fundraising for food in Auschwitz
PR
One of the last lines of the article
Kraft later confirmed he didn't want Macklemore performing at Gillette, which Kraft owns ... accusing the rapper of crossing the line with antisemitic rhetoric and imagery.
I find it hard to believe that Maklemore uses antisemitic rhetoric and imagery (I'm willing to change this opinion with evidence). I would believe he uses Anti-Israeli rhetoric and imagery.
