Say this

Conservative Russian agent bad actors pretend they're your comrade in exchange for dirty money because they're just gutter whores in disguise.

You'll make his list.

Perchance 🧐 πŸ‘‰πŸ‘ˆπŸ₯Ή

[–] OozingPositron@feddit.cl 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Perchance was also censored? Lmao.

As well as the two finger crying emojis

[–] db_null@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 day ago

You can't just say perchance

[–] BlonksClown@lemmy.world 52 points 3 days ago (4 children)

I just submitted a PR adding my name to the blacklist

[–] fartographer@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

It's only a real shadowban if it comes from the asimons04 region of tesseract. Otherwise, it's just a sparkling ban.

Get out there and say something insanely polarizing, like, "killing kids isn't cool, y'all."

If you want something done right…

[–] 4am@lemmy.zip 3 points 2 days ago

Joke’s on you, the super double secret blocklist isn’t in the repo

[–] Eldritch@piefed.world 37 points 3 days ago (1 children)
[–] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 7 points 3 days ago (2 children)

What is this reference? I keep seeing it but I don't have the context for it

[–] Cethin@lemmy.zip 19 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It's one of the blocked words, for some fucking reason.

[–] Axolotl_cpp@feddit.it 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

My guess is that they have something against Perchance.org because it's an AI website

Don’t you forget about me

[–] Semi_Hemi_Demigod@lemmy.world 13 points 3 days ago (3 children)

I just realized that’s Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale in the background

[–] TropicalDingdong@lemmy.world 20 points 3 days ago

Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale in the background, so hot right now.

[–] kn33@lemmy.world 7 points 3 days ago

I feel like I've seen this exact line every time this gets posted on Reddit

[–] lobut@lemmy.ca 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

You can see how Aaron Barrett built an entire career out of getting dumped by her.

[–] foggy@lemmy.world 11 points 3 days ago (4 children)

The blocked me and everyone like me!

Foggy is blocked on the regex list. So no foggy1 or foggyfroggy or nutnin!

[–] ZoteTheMighty@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago

Maybe f0ggy? You can always beat regex if you want it hard enough.

[–] henfredemars@infosec.pub 9 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

Imagine upsetting someone so much they feel the need to write a rule to generically match your name and all names that remind them of you. Sounds like a great love story. Enemies to lovers.

[–] andros_rex@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I wonder what earns a place on the regex list versus the other. Did we only medium piss him off?

[–] foggy@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Given some of the regexes are just like

^example.*$

And others are

^example[0-9]+$

My guess is when they have two in the list that match one regex they shorten the list by making a regex block.

So for some users I'll bet it is to take care of things like

IIIlll vs lllIII showing up and realizing that's regexa Le and hey let's just get any and all lengths of alternating Is and ls.

And then others are for like

DallasCowboys1985 vs DallasCowboys42069 where I'd bet they figured just do all DallasCowboys with numbers trailing.

Sifting through it it seems so e might be targeting one user with multiple similar accounts, but others are just totally ham-fisted dumb approaches like mine. Like I probably made the list and some other user 'foggyXYZ' also did. And now 'foggy-sux-we-hate-him' is blocked too. πŸ‘

[–] andros_rex@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

I’m just wondering why I’m on the regex list. I guess leftist and trans is probably enough.

I'm also on the regex list, but oddly I don't have the trailing $, so if I made an account like, oDojan, that'd not be caught. I'm not alone in not having a $, but a lot of people do.

[–] Davel23@fedia.io 9 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I'm on the list, but I'm not sure if it's on my own merits or because my username is similar to that of a controversial mod of another instance.

[–] GreenKnight23@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

sounds like you're a terrorist!

[–] Davel23@fedia.io 5 points 3 days ago

I can neither confirm nor deny any terror-related activities that I may or may not have engaged in now or at any time in the past.

Thanks, since reading lemmy.blahaj.zone's post on why they removed it, I understand both what is going on and your post, and it made me laugh

[–] ToiletFlushShowerScream@piefed.world 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

If someone is on the list do they get to bring a +1 to also get in too?

[–] theolodis@feddit.org 2 points 2 days ago

I think that's too late, as Tesseract is now resting in peace. But if you want I can block you and a +1

[–] whoisearth@lemmy.ca 4 points 2 days ago

It's like a badge of honour in any community that a mod/developer/etc can ban you from their community just for having an opinion.

I stand by what I say the people in charge in a majority of these places are snowflakes.
