I don't know about you, but the "filthy" air invading my home is caused by the 70,000 acres of forest burning my own state......

****This is what can happen if you do not properly manage the fire burden of forests by allowing fire to consume the dead trees and ground cover. But god forbid the tourists from big cities see a section of burned forests! They tend to get all riled up.

I want off Mr. Bones’ Wild Ride.

[–] dregan@lemmy.world 8 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

The ONLY reason he is aware of this is because the air in DC sucks.

Hope it kills him faster

[–] jj4211@lemmy.world 12 points 4 hours ago

Quick, divert ICE to dealing with that invasion instead.

[–] ivanvector@piefed.ca 35 points 5 hours ago

As a punishment for Canadian wildfires, Trump raises taxes that only Americans pay.

Make it make sense, challenge level impossible

Literally old man yells at cloud.

Take my energy tiny blood clot

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 15 points 10 hours ago

This assfuck is all-in on AI and data centers. He doesn't give a fuck about the air.

He could help Canada, but he won't. It's all about bullshit. He needs to feed his fat fucking cow followers with endless bullshit. No gaps in the feedings. Bullshit day and night.

[–] CyberneticOwl@lemmy.world 14 points 11 hours ago

I mean, careful what you wish for: legislators could troll Trump by drafting bills that use the same language to go after his agencies that have screwed up air quality, water quality, etc.

[–] ClassyHatter@sopuli.xyz 9 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Trump should put 100% import tariff on wildfire smoke.

[–] schipelblorp@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 hour ago

I only breathe smoke from domestic wild fires and AI data centers.

[–] jubilationtcornpone@sh.itjust.works 13 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Dear Canada,

I am really sorry about the senile old fuckwit criminal that some of us decided to let run wild. I tried to tell the other fuckwits that it was a terrible idea. They did not listen.

Sincerely,

Your Friend in the Banana Republic to the South

[–] quick_snail@feddit.nl 1 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Where does the US grow bananas?

[–] plasticbuddha@lemmy.world 19 points 13 hours ago

Now Canada is distracting from the Epstein files...

[–] radix@lemmy.world 260 points 20 hours ago (4 children)

Is he saying the atmosphere is a shared resource that no nation should be filling with pollution?

It's fascinating how close he is to getting it, while the world knows he never, never will.

[–] quick_snail@feddit.nl 4 points 3 hours ago

I mean, he has done more for renewable energy than any previous president.

He's increased the cost of gasoline, and done wonders for the electrical grid in Cuba.

[–] dreamkeeper@literature.cafe 2 points 4 hours ago

It's just another excuse to shit on and threaten Canada.

[–] amio@lemmy.world 83 points 19 hours ago

Meh, weaponized hypocrisy is 99% of what comes out of his blubbery bitch-ass.

[–] Solumbran@lemmy.world 40 points 18 hours ago

No, he's saying that the atmosphere is a resource owned by the US and that other countries should pay for it.

[–] uriel238@lemmy.blahaj.zone 11 points 13 hours ago

This comes from the rake the forests guy.

Nowadays he alternates between old man yelling at cloud and batshit insane.

[–] prenatal_confusion@feddit.org 11 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Bet those windmills would be nice to have now.

[–] quick_snail@feddit.nl 1 points 3 hours ago

I think you mean turbines?

[–] Wren@lemmy.today 75 points 18 hours ago

As a Canadian in the middle of these wildfires, which fire marshalls and environmental scientists have been warning about for years, I'm glad Doug Ford is getting chastised by his big buddy over a problem that should weigh heavily on his shoulders.

And yes, please, set a precedent to start treating the air as a shared resource. I can't wait to see what kind of penalties get levied against the US once we make that a thing.

I know he'll forget the whole thing once he starts sundowning tonight, but a girl can dream.

Can't ICE just shoot the dirty air for moving in the general direction of one of those masked goons? They could fear for their life or something.

[–] atzanteol@sh.itjust.works 22 points 16 hours ago

He's this close to understanding externalized costs...

[–] Bebopalouie@lemmy.ca 14 points 15 hours ago

Hmm when compensation from America since they are now invading us with vile smoke from Oregon and Idaho at this very moment?

[–] fizzle@quokk.au 58 points 20 hours ago (3 children)

This fucking dumbass. Lets tariff them, that will surely stop them creating all this smoke. The outcome from his liberation day tariff war was so abysmal I'm surprised he's not too ashamed to utter the word ever again.

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 31 points 20 hours ago

That would require an iota of self-awareness.

[–] radiofreebc@lemmy.world 26 points 19 hours ago

Tariff THEM? Do Americans not know how tariffs work? This is like punching yourself in the face and then saying you got beat up.

[–] D_C@sh.itjust.works 14 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

That demented thing can not feel shame.

Trying to blame his own butt stench on Canada.

Maybe the smell is coming from the Epstein files. Try airing 'em out!

[–] NotMyOldRedditName@lemmy.world 11 points 15 hours ago (2 children)

Our windmills arent actually windmills, they're fans, and we're blowing all the smoke at you!

[–] als@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 9 hours ago

I always wondered how they made the wind...

[–] some_kind_of_guy@lemmy.world 4 points 13 hours ago

You promised to spend that money on rakes!!

[–] HotsauceHurricane@lemmy.world 13 points 16 hours ago

Jesus Christ he is stupid

[–] Shayeta@feddit.org 8 points 15 hours ago

Interesting... Though not nearly as interesting as the epstein files. WHERE ARE THEY!?

[–] altphoto@lemmy.today 2 points 11 hours ago

So this is where he gets cancer and croaks? Cuz I've probably have my cancer and probably will croak. Hopefully after him. I don't want to miss it when he does. C'mon pretzel! 🥜 Peanut! Get in there!

[–] Dvixen@lemmy.world 5 points 14 hours ago

Seriously. I've said this many times before.
Not everything Rump says is newsworthy. Reporters need to learn when to ignore the moron.
