Everything looks left wing when you're so far right you're trying to dig through the overton window further right.

Authoritarianism is an admission of abject weakness.

White supremacists are the weakest and most brittle snowflakes.

A healthy, broadly educated population, which feels safe and secure, is incompatible with, and toxic to, conservative and authoritarian ideologies.

They need you to be sick, stupid, and scared.

[–] JoeBigelow@lemmy.ca 1 points 6 hours ago

Well I'm only two of those things so jokes on them!

[–] raspirate@lemmy.world 22 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Kinda sounds like the imperialism has turned inward now. We should have a term for that...

If you DONT want a Data Center in your Backyard you're a LEFT WING TERRORIST!

-People wondering why Far Left Politicians keep WINNING!

[–] Bwaz@lemmy.world 20 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I wonder jow many people experienced any terror resulting from the Left Wing. As compared to from, say, ICE?

[–] dirthawker0@lemmy.world 4 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago)

Actual terrorism - rare. The manufactured fear of potential terror - plenty. These scary transgender people who wanna invade women's bathrooms and molest children. The scary brown people who might be drug cartel gang members. The scary black people who might be druggies, muggers, and welfare thieves. The scary Asian people who may eat unimaginable foods and develop diseases to spread to nice clean white Americans. The scary educated people who protest against censorship of global points of view. The scary women who compete with men and make those poor men feel so insecure about themselves.

Expectations: They arrest the literal far-left that lurks the internet threatening to "take down the government" and making literal death threats (if you've never stumbled upon one, I envy you)

Reality: they arrest Mamdani, Sanders, AOC and also any centre-right liberal they can't win an election against

EDIT: (Rubio) "They can call themselves anti-capitalist or anti-imperialist, communist, anarchist or Marxist,” Rubio said, according The Guardian. “It’s always the same. It is a poisonous resentment cloaked in the language of equality and justice liberation — an overwhelming need to tear down, to wreck, what is beautiful and what is right on behalf of people who are only filled with ugliness and have nothing else to offer the world through violence and through terror.”

Rubio's gonna shut down Lemmy ML. Finally. 😂

If they start arresting their competition, and we don’t get violent, it’s over. They win.

You wouldn’t just stand idle and watch as someone put you in chains.

You’d fight to stop them and/or escape.

We are all standing idle and watching our democracy fall.

This was litigated 8 decades ago, they lost.

The US has been on the losing side of every armed conflict they’ve been involved in since. Their current leadership believes that streak is at least twice as long.

They've been funding, training, arming, supporting and fostering extremist Sunni Islamist militias to fight their proxy wars since Reagan. It never stopped. The jihadis kamikaze tactics and ability to manipulate basic idiots to blow themselves up have been devastating on the battlefield. He lavishes praise on the former al-qaeda leader that is now the president of Syria.

So yeah it doesn't surprise me.

[–] sportsjorts@lemmy.zip 17 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I’m antifascist as fuck. Fuck Trump. Fuck everyone in his admin they are all traitors and need to be in prison.

[–] HasturInYellow@lemmy.world 3 points 22 hours ago* (last edited 22 hours ago)

Islam was a target of convenience. His numbers are tanking at home over his handling of; well everything. So now he has an enemy of necessity. Everyone that wants to hold him accountable. This is going to get ugly folks. Arm yourselves and be ready. Be ungovernable. Because they plan to govern you out of existence.

[–] cmbabul@slrpnk.net 50 points 2 days ago (34 children)

This is frightening correct, if you ain’t got a piece get one, a shotgun is probably best for most.

The one thing that give me hope is how big and dispersed the US is overall. There’s no physical way for the government or really any entity to quell uprisings or enforce “right think” there just ain’t enough manpower even if you bring in all law enforcement down to the municipal level. My suspicion is they believe they can use “AI” and drone surveillance to fill that big gap.

It’s a gamble on their part which reeks of desperation, but it might work. It may come down to whether or not Palantir is actually competent and no one does anything direct to stop them in time(this does include a general strike not just a Luigi)

[–] CADmonkey@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

if you ain’t got a piece get one

And know how to use it. You don't have time to fumble.

Does it matter?

Seems like he has enough support to cling to power, especially given that lackluster opposition.

[–] mthomson@forum.macaque.social 11 points 1 day ago (1 children)

So anyone that doesn't agree with the Trump regime is now a terrorist?! That's an awful lot of people. He's just going to use this to start locking up anyone that doesn't agree with him.

We're going to see the full fascism mask come off starting September through January. Be aware that there will probably be violence too.

[–] SippyCup@lemmy.world 33 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I mean if I'm going to be accused of violence regardless...

Because the parasitic kid-fuckers know if they don't start eliminating the competition they are getting voted out next election and then going to fucking prison.

That is as long as the Dems remember we do not want olive branches, reaching across the aisle, or compromise AT ALL. Fuck to Pedo Party.

Clearly another fascist plot to silence dissent. Sometimes the truth sounds like an outrageous conspiracy theory.

[–] kreskin@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

calling terrorism in/by the US a greater threat to the world than islamic "terrorism" is maybe the first honest thing this administration has ever done, albeit almost certainly by accident.
