Welcome to the News community!

Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.

Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.

Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

6. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

Like a fruit. He's so mature, he's verging on being runny.

[–] A_norny_mousse@piefed.zip 128 points 5 days ago (3 children)

It couldn't be more obvious who really benefits from MAGA policy.

Well, some do. Probably about 0.001% of them, but it's bound to trickle down to everyone else.

He sure makes a lot of effort to convince us billionaires shouldn't exist.

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 2 points 1 day ago

And he doesn't even have to! I'm already convinced!

Hey Bezos, we’re saving a French proletarian necktie just for you 🥰

[–] Furbag@pawb.social 28 points 5 days ago (2 children)

I wish people would press further on these answers. More mature how? In what way has Trump performed better now compared to his first term? Please answer with specific examples and as much detail as possible.

I hate that journalists are so willing to let people say dumb shit and then never hold their feet to the flame.

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 2 points 1 day ago

There's been more corruption than ever! The Corrupt Sector, of which Trump and his offspring are valued members, is doing quite well.

[–] yakko@feddit.uk 10 points 4 days ago

Corporate media has really done a number on a profession that should in any worthwhile society be feared and respected in equal measure. Journalism is supposed to be radical, personal, obsessed with the truth, and beholden only to an editor who knows too much and has ulcers.

Oh well, at least I have a rich inner life.

[–] imeansurewhynot@sh.itjust.works 46 points 5 days ago (1 children)

parrot goes bwaak.

this mf has four people feed him headlines from his own fucking newspaper and regurgitates it because he doesn't know any better.

[–] swagmoney@lemmy.ca 2 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

hey roofie! hey ruckus.. hey roofer? hey reefer. hey roofus! summarize my newspaper in a way that maintains my worldview

[–] Buffalox@lemmy.world 27 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago) (1 children)

I already I knew he is a psycho, but I didn't know he is also an idiot.

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I don't think Bezos is an idiot. It's just that the motives of billionaires are inscrutable to the likes of us lowly creatures that still have a conscience and empathy.

[–] Buffalox@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

True, but empathy is also an intelligence, and lack of it is also lack of a crucial form of intelligence.

[–] Arancello@aussie.zone 5 points 5 days ago

That may be true, but that seems to be a minimum requirement to be wealthy in the united states these days.

[–] Etterra@discuss.online 14 points 4 days ago

Tell us your profiting off of the second Trump administration but without actually saying it.

[–] BigMacHole@thelemmy.club 32 points 5 days ago (1 children)

There's NOTHING More Mature than starting a MIDDLE EAST WAR for No Reason while Deporting and Murdering Americans who called you Names!

-REALLY SMART Billionaires!

[–] matlag@sh.itjust.works 2 points 4 days ago

These are secondary effects, the main one being their own wealth growth. Nothing else matters. Nothing else is important.

[–] ragepaw@lemmy.ca 12 points 4 days ago

It has matured, like milk left in the summer sun.

[–] Buffalox@lemmy.world 31 points 5 days ago

Boycott everything American you can.

[–] HarneyToker@lemmy.world 15 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

I downvote articles with the format “Billionaire says something about Evil Dictator”. They provide no actual real world value to most people.

[–] sportsjorts@lemmy.zip 9 points 4 days ago

Everything Bezos says is always the most out of touch dumbass shit. He seems like a total fucking clod. Pound Martian sand Bezos and get fucked.

[–] stumu415@lemmy.zip 15 points 4 days ago
[–] TryingToBeGood@reddthat.com 18 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Jeff doesn’t live on the same planet as the rest of us.

[–] matlag@sh.itjust.works 3 points 4 days ago

Unfortunately he does. And he fucks it up alright for the rest of us.

[–] ceenote@lemmy.world 19 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Hopefully this helped at least a few thousand people realize Jeff Bezos is a fuckin liar.

[–] Triumph@fedia.io 6 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Hes not lying if he believes it.

[–] rogsson@piefed.social 13 points 5 days ago

Can these cancer cells just die already… painfully.

[–] AngryRedHerring@lemmy.world 15 points 5 days ago (1 children)

If by mature he means more looting, then yeah

[–] A_norny_mousse@piefed.zip 4 points 5 days ago

If by mature he means even less taxes and regulations for him and his ilk, then yeah

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 6 points 4 days ago

We'll be even more mature when we asset-strip Bezos and his ilk.

[–] Lydon_Feen@lemmy.world 12 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

Hahahahaha.

Good one Jeff. Real good.

Now fuck off.

[–] NoForwadSlashS@piefed.social 11 points 5 days ago

It's even easier to do bribes this time.

[–] cuboc@lemmy.world 8 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Stop publishing CEO / billionaire spam.

[–] drmoose@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Nah it's very emberassing for them. Shine the light on their dumbness - everyone should see.

[–] lemmy_outta_here@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago

We can quote this article at his trial.

[–] kurmudgeon@lemmy.world 7 points 5 days ago

Fuck Bezos and fuck Amazon. Cancel your prime. Pirate instead. You can wait 2 days for shipping if you just have to order something from Amazon.

[–] henfredemars@infosec.pub 9 points 5 days ago

CEO approves of theft more at 11!

[–] Bloefz@lemmy.world 6 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

How did he manage to say that with a straight face? "Mature" is literally the last thing this administration is. Except in age.

Oh wait he's just thinking of his billions

[–] Smeagol666@crazypeople.online 6 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

Hey Jeff, why don't you invent an award to give to the fat orange pedo? You can call it the Biggest Cock Award and make it in the shape of one of your cock-rockets. You can make it with a strap on option, and then let him take turns pegging you and Elon. I was going to suggest a three-way with that Slovinian whore he's married to, but I'm sure you three are bored with pussy by now anyway.

[–] Drusas@fedia.io 5 points 5 days ago

If by "mature" he means "old", then yeah.

[–] Asafum@lemmy.world 5 points 5 days ago
[–] derAbsender@piefed.social 4 points 5 days ago

Trump acts like a toddler.

What do you want to imply, Jeff?
